Last week's Toryuken kicked off the tournament grind, as from last week until two weeks before EVO there will be a Road to EVO event every weekend, along with a few other major events thrown in here and there. Check the calendar below to see what's coming up.

Events are in approximate order of start time. Note that events may be added/removed/updated as more information becomes available. If you have info on upcoming events for the week, or a stream you think should be featured, feel free to make a post or send a PM.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament (UFGT) 8 - Infinity will be this weekend May 25-27 in Chicago, Illinois. Last year's event was incredible, from the character auction tournaments to Balrog Ball to the Mystery Game Tournament to (standard) tournaments themselves, and Keits, the mastermind of UFGT, is making things even bigger this year. UFGT8 is the 3rd Pit Stop event on the Road to EVO 2012, with extra bonuses provided by EVO for SSFIV AE, UMvC3 and SCV. The list of tournament games is varied and expansive, with a lot of new, a bit of classic, and a bit of mystery:

UFGT8 is far more than a fighting games tournament. There's the Fun & Games Corner with an upgraded version of Balrog Ball and multiple new games including DIVEKICK. There's a series of panels covering a variety of topics, all of which will be recorded for later viewing. Above all there are Infinity Guantlets which will be given to the winners of certain tournaments and special events. And this is just the briefest of descriptions of what's going on at UFGT8.

The tourney starts this Friday and will be streamed by Level|Up & Focus Fire. Don't miss it.


Mix Up Night #04 is this Saturday May 26 starting at 10PM JST (UTC +9, 9AM EDT). MUN #03 was the special event KVOxGODSGARDEN, but this one is back to the usual style with SSFIV AE and the return of KOF XIII. GamerBee won the last SSFIV AE tourney at #02, while RF was the KOF XIII champion for #01. The tournament will again be held at everyone's favorite maid café CCOcha. Sako is confirmed to be attending and there will be a kumite with him after tourney. The organizers of MUN will again be streaming the event, so tune in to watch all the quality action from Osaka.

Hell the twitchcop that came over to the stream to check out what the hell was going on after Canada stream people complain ended up parking in the stream and shit-chat for an hour as well. fanatiq almost got his stream closed. The canada stream capped at ~6k, fanatiq's was 2.1k. He took a lot of the audience away from them.
