Those Wasps are probably the strongest things in the game.

I wish I could just have a instant win for Act 2 and go to 3. Would be much nicer. And the end two bosses for Act 3 are so easy to farm out. At least for Hell it was. Takes like 30 minutes to get your 5 valor buff and kills in.

It's not really a bad card, but I'm not sure if I'd call it high-performance. Here's where it ranks according to Tom's Hardware: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html

Regardless, you should be managing more than 10 fps.

"I" wouldn't really call it a high-performance card either, but Blizzard specifically lists it as such, which is why I'm puzzled about the 10 FPS (I dunno, it may not even be 10FPS--a good analog is "if I'm in a group I just sit back and hold down right click and watch a d3 slideshow).

Very strange.

Ugh, this is the first game in awhile that I wish I didn't have a job and could just play all day. Work productivity down while I think/dream of this game.

Even Dark Souls didn't affect me like this cause there wasn't that constant incentive to speed-level and grind to keep up with friends. I could play Dark Souls at a leisurely pace if I wanted to. Diablo, otoh, I have a NEED to get home asap to play. I haven't felt that addiction since...well, WoW.

:lol :lol :lol
Those all fuck melee equally bad. Fuck they can even mortar you if you're meleeing them!

Yeah. His post is clearly not from the perspective of a barb playing in hell and beyond. Everything he listed us fucks with barbs hard + all the ones he neglected to mention/doesn't know about/forgot.

Whats the effect of people at different levels grouping together? Any official numbers on decrease of XP etc?

Anecdotal but I ran a friend's WD through Nightmare with my DH. He was 31 at the start, I think, and I was 47 and he got to 50 by the end (48.8 or something, had to grind a bit to get to 50) and I got to 52 on my DH. I wasn't getting any kill EXP at all until Act 3 basically and he was getting full EXP.

1500ms ping - wtf Blizz? I just want to play the game all by myself right NOW... :'(

Mine was normally between 2000 and 3000 throughout the day yesterday. One it started getting later in the day everything was fine. This is exactly what I was worried about and if it continues I'll probably be done with the game.

Pretty much.

By the way, curious on your build. I run a Monk/Wizard duo like 99% of the time anyway and we've gone back and forth over what for the Wizard. Currently sitting on a Cold-based Comet/Blizzard/Hydra setup since I Cyclone Strike all the time anyway.

I thought the tongue mobs were the strongest, there's no running away from them unless you have some kind of invisibility spell

They suck but the Wasps hit harder I think :x

I am curious where you are located. I too have noticed packet drops from Comcast over the last few days...

Im on Comcast, but in Jersey and have been having issues with them the past week or two.
Sucks ass I have no other real alternative since Fios isnt offered in my area.

I have something around 30% Crit so, honestly, it's fine just on FoT for the most part. Then again, maybe I'm wrong and my sustainability was from Sweeping Wind and not anything else. Which would be pretty saddening. I liked that it was getting pretty hard to ever die in Hell.

Does all of your armor pieces have a crit chance on them? That's really good. I've had shit luck on item drops, getting rares that have no use to me whatsoever. And the ones on the AH sell for crazy prices.

Which I've read, Disintegrate doesn't crit? I see the occasional crits (I believe) from the runed aspect of it. 9 - 10k crits. It's a pretty powerful tool for a Wizard. I can farm Act 1 Inferno with not much of any issues. Act 2 is so damn hard. Even for kiting. Those stupid ass flying bugs that shoot the smaller ones at you. So so lame.

Haha! We gotta get back together today and test out this new build I got. Wanna clear Act 1 and catch up to you.

Is Fists of Thunder/Quickening and Mantra of Healing/Boon of Protection not viable on Inferno? Something like this: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/monk#aQXgTi!!YbbabZ

There aren't passives selected there, it'd be transcendence + and maybe One with Everything if resists are stacked up reasonably

I love Mantra of Healing especially with the Boon of Protection rune. It was in all of my previous builds, but what I'm hoping with all these damage reduction and armor increasing skills is that I won't have to rely on it. From what Scy mentioned earlier, if your crit is up there I guess Quickening is still good? If you're planning on using Sweeping Wind and Seven Sided Strike I'd definitely recommend having Exalted Soul as one of your passives as both use a good amount of spirit unless you can manage your spirit well.

Ugh, I'm torn right now. I've only played about 10 or 15 hours of the game so far and I'm having a blast. Seeing all the late-game balance complaints is really throwing me off; I'm beginning to wonder if I should wait till they fix some stuff, even if it means I have to wait for expansions. I wantz my diablo!

And your passives?

Vision quest (obviously), the one that reduces CD on spirit stuff and gives me a free anti-death spirit walk every 2 minutes, and fetish sycophants. I know the last one isn't that good, but I've found it to be surprisingly effective. A small army of 3 or so fetishes function as surprisingly good tanks, or at least distractions due to how they tend to run away after attacking. Since the uptime on having at least 1-2 up at any given point is almost 100%, I've been ejoying it quite a bit.

Keep playing and leveling your character. It seems like every time Diablo 2 got updated there was skill "balancing" and over time each class pretty much had a point where they were really awesome.

Dude, don't worry about that. People are still figuring out the game. I'm sure Blizzard will buff and nerf certain abilities. Just keep playing whatever class you've picked.

Will this game ever stop lagging? It's beginning to piss me off.

It's not my computer, I've got a GTX 570 with the latest drivers (everything else is more than decent too). I put every setting in the game on low. For the first time since the release my ping was in the green (about 200ms) and my internet connection was great. Yet the game is pretty much unplayable and thats with only me in the game.

So here I am 1 week after release trying to play this game singleplayer and it's a shitty experience.

I'm on EU servers, from Sweden.

Am I the only one with this stuttering/lag problem?

any lag or stuttering is probably server related and has nothing to do with your PC. You can check the ping next to the Mana/Fury/Hatred etc ball.

So apparently they suck on inferno, but how is barb in Nightmare & Hell? I'm about to finish Normal with my barb and dont want to give him up!

Sounds like things get sucky for Barbs later on :-(

Love mine so far (act 3 normal) and don't want to start over with a different class.. I'll just have to be the one that proves Barbs CAN handle themselves in Inferno :-p

My roommate's Barb went through Nightmare without any trouble. Though, in Hell, my Monk is quickly eclipsing his Barb in survivability (as well as DPS, to be frank).

Off-hand, ~2.5% or better Crit on most my slots. Unfortunately, +Crit doesn't actually exist on certain slots (Chest, Legs, Boots I think?). I'll double check what I'm at when I get off work. Maybe I overestimated but I know it's at least around 20% since that's why I opted against WotHF+Spirited Salvo. Well, that and faster attack speed.

I'm running Sweeping Wind too so I mean there's a chance that my "sweet, this is awesome!" survivability came from that more than just FoT procs. I'll check later and report how disappointed I'll be lol. I didn't even know Sweeping Wind was triggering Quickening until now :(

It worries me reading that barbs have a hard time in hell/inferno. I had a bit of trouble with my barb in the early parts of nightmare, but now I feel fine. I hope I am not constantly getting owned with every step in the higher difficulties :/

That much is true, they can surely iron out the skill balancing issues. I guess I was talking more about the item system. Sounds quite a bit more broken to me.

This is what I'm currently using.

I feel that it needs a little more tweaking of the sort but so far, it's been very good to me.

That's what I read on the Blizzard forums and it makes sense, like I never ran out of spirit. Against the Act 2 boss when
he does that AOE move
I just popped Serenity and kept using Mantra of Healing afterwards if there were still explosions going on. If I did run out of spirit, it was back to full in 2-3 secs with both mine and my air ally's sweeping winds. lol

I'd hardly call it broken. Legendaries are currently anything but, and there's not a whole lot of depth to particularly weapon itemization right now, but other than that it's not bad.

Thanks. I'd have figured Volatility for the Rune over Chaos Nexus even when soloing (or especially, given how death prone at close range and all). I'll pass it along :x

I had near infinite Spirit even against the Act 1 Boss, though not good enough to spam out his melee and the fires, but I seem to be fine even when I forgot to pop Sweeping Wind. Fingers crossed, I guess. Was hoping to approach 40% Crit with Inferno drops but now I'm not so sure :(

Got my CE today yay!

And that brings fort a question to those with the WoW annual pass.

So, I just add the CE key to my battle.net account and I will get 4 months of free game time for WoW and my Diablo 3 account is upgraded to the CE one?

Also, this doesn't wipe my characters in Diablo 3 and how do I get the wings on my DH?

It's possible though Chaos Nexus helps with the flood of mobs that come after you. Volatility could work out good though I'll play around with the idea. Volatility could work for elite mobs but most of my damage comes from kiting with Blizzard and Hydra Venom.

I used to have Ray of Frost for the additional slow so when I had a good distance from kiting, I could turn around and use it to keep them slowed and put out some extra damage. There's still a lot of options that need to be explored.

Oh, and another thing. I know a lot of Wizards like to use the teleport ability but if you can find yourself some decent boots with the run speed, you don't need any sort of teleporting. I have 9% boots and they work well. 12% is the highest I've seen so far. If there's any higher, that will be pretty damn sweet for kiting.

Now that gold is actually functioning as a proper currency in D3 I don't really have an issue with the item system. Diablo 2 effectively had nothing in place but a bartering system that revolved around each item being worth a certain number of unique rings. So I would say this is an improvement that allows people to more effectively access the gear they want.

Fun fact for Wizards.

Gloves with:

195 Armor
+139 Intelligence
+53 Vitality
+14 Potion resistance

are outclassed by gloves with:

173 Armor
+27 Strentgh
+57 Vitality
+20 Poision Resistance
+4.5% Critical Hit Chance increase
Attack Speed Increased by 12%

Better by 101 damage and 132 life. Don't sleep on that spoiler stat. I've said that before and I'm saying it again.

Are you using FRAPS to measure it? Could it be latency?

Yeah, friend tried going free Ray of Frost but apparently it's only -8 AP instead; would've been broken otherwise, I guess. I figured kiting with Blizzard/(Arcane) Hydra/Disintegrate with Temporal Flux would be worth it but it's hard to figure out what to drop passive wise for it. Dunno. Going to ideally grind a Wizard to Hell/Inferno sometime this week so maybe I can playtest things soon rather than vicariously through my partner lol.

I think the AH just screwed me over. I bid on something that was about to end I had winning bid but when it finished I had "Winning" but it was "Expired" and now it's not even there anymore and I didn't get my money back...

I've read that other people have been getting these errors as well. They contacted support and they were able to replace the gold back in their accounts.

some posted this on reddit... also everything in this game looks cooler in german

Schaden per Second

I like it.

Trial and error. :)

Just started Nightmare, are any of the blue/yellow gears I've gathered in Normal worth keeping? If to get rid of them, should I sell or break them down?
