I think most people are upset that the difficulty is just an EXTREME gear check with little ramp up.. nothing more.
Not like they added new mechanics to test our skills, and what we've learned from the previous difficulties. Nope, just a simple cockblock gear check. Which is fine... but when it's by itself with nothing else... ugh.

I've only came into this thread a couple of times and I've only played the starter part of Diablo 3 but let me get this straight...you're trying to beat the notoriously hard Inferno difficulty just 9 days after release and you're complaining that it's too hard?
Did I get that right? Hard difficulty is hard?

Just died for the first time because my character suddenly couldn't move. What the fuck.

Played til about level 24 last night, logged in today to find my Monk stripped of all of his gear and my 60k gold stash depleted.
Never did play on a pub game or even open up my game or anything. Though, never really read anything about how people can hack your stuff.
I guess don't be a dolt like me - get an authenticator, even if you think you don't need it.

Running around, getting hit so that I can take good pictures of how truly terrible the hit detection + lag is in this game.

Well then I got nothing.
I really don't like how loot is handled in this game. You only get shitty drops about 10 levels lower than your level and the only good stuff can be bought in the AH.
Kind of destroys the "oh shit I got this awesome drop but I gotta gain a level or two before I can use it" factor that makes these games so great (though I honestly don't know if Diablo 2 had the same issue)

I ran in to a bug today where I couldn't move or use any abilities. I was just stuck in place with like 20 enemies wailing on me. I couldn't die either, and when my health hit zero it would pop back up by about a quarter. Dunno if what he ran in to was similar.

Really your best option is to build up a good friends list. Public games are completely borked.
Make sure you have auto-join enabled for your friends when you want company!
Anyone in Act 2/3/4 of Inferno that doesn't mind me joining their game so that I can get out of Act 1 already? In North America specifically. Or does it not work like that, and as soon as I leave your game, I'm back to A1?
