Wow that sucks. I've never had it that bad ever. I usually sit at 70-90ms.
It's intentional, bro! Did you know that when Poseidon ordered his minions to pierce their enemies with tridents, they didn't have to be close to the enemy? They could simply flail their arms left and right, completely whiffing in the air, and still hurt their enemies!

How does the selling of gems even work? When i search them out to buy they are all literally within 100 gold of each other(same type). Is that just everyone selling them at the price they are already selling for? Or do gems come from Blizzard and they set the price? Same with crafting materials. They are all cheap and consistent.

weird that they'd disable commodities. I just want some jamz!

They didn't. It broke, and now they're claiming that they took it down.

Everything on the AH comes from players. Blizzard does recommend a price though (based on prior trading) which keeps them within a set range. You can put your gems/pages/etc up for whatever you want, but they won't sell.

Currently playing a Wizard in Nightmare mode (and Hell by tomorrow I guess).

One thing I've noticed about Legendary items is they seem to allow stats to be on that piece that aren't normally available for that piece.

Example: I got a Legendary helm in "Normal" that added 6% Attack Speed. I don't think Attack Speed is available on helms that are yellow and below, right? At least, you can't search for it in the AH.

Am I high? Is IAS available on helms yellow and below at all? I've passed up other helms to "upgrade" because I don't want to lose the stat that can't normally be found for that slot.

I love how these professional players get to use and take advantage of these builds before us poor peons get the chance to before the nerf.

Yeah, the whole "hit lag" thing has been around for a while. Playing the T2 beta some last weekend reminded me of how "sloppy" D3 can feel. The control just doesn't feel that tight.

I can understand the not wanting everything to be about dodging, but there are other better ways to fix that...

It has nothing to do with latency.

Then I can tell you that my game client is definitely not the same as yours. I don't really see that issue weirdly enough. Seriously.

:/

And as a wizard, that shit has to suck especially with distance (well it probably does for anyone really).

No, seriously, a blue post states that not being able to dodge melee attacks is part of their game design. It's linked a bit back. Latency just worsens the problem.

Oh I know, I read it.

But I honestly like, don't/haven't experienced it. It's really weird. Now i'm gonna go test it.

I wonder what they'll nerf, probably the passive?

now that I think about it...I'm not sure. because nerfing the passive would fuck over everyone using it with a normal build. and they're not going to limit the crit chance boost on items because the items are already out there.

only thing I can think of is...removing Living Lightning completely.

Yes, the passive will get a complete rehaul.
but the passive is fine with all other skills. except that one skill.

I think they'll remove that skill. You can't nerf the skill because otherwise nobody would want it. You have to remove it. Or otherwise replace it with something that can't crit 10 times a second.

Are you on inferno? If you are, you must've experienced it. Just try running back and forth between a melee-skeleton.

I'm still lvl 48, still dont have that passive or Living Lightning yet :/ I was thinking they'd limit the amount of times the passive could reduce CD to maybe once every couple of seconds? idk...

Its weird that this stream is showing everyone how to do it. Almost like they want it to get nerfed

I've got a horrible bug right now where my GTX 580 doesn't recognize D3 as a game. I get like 5fps and GPU activity stays flatlined. It's only happened since whatever update was applied today.

I can't play like this ><

Edit: Updating video drivers fixed it.

Would someone mind re-posting the calculus that is the formula of figuring out what stats contribute to dps and such?

I'm presently baffled that someone has the same Int as me is doing almost 2x the damage.

His 2h weapon is doing 1190 (mine is 990), but that's not the difference.

Is it just the +70% critical damage he's getting from a gem on his weapon? (star emerald) If so, I'm selling my 2h for one with a gem slot RIGHT NOW. I mean, he's critting at over 100k.

Just alt-tabbed real quick but here's the basic:

WeaponDamage * StatMod * CriticalMod

So going from +100% Crit Damage to +200% is the same as going from 1000 INT to 2000 INT for Wizard/WD.

"the items are already out there"

Are you implying that Blizzard would be unable to digitally reach into your stash and change some values around? Because they totally could if it were necessary.
Weren't they saying that they were going to change up all the legendary stats as well?

But I personally think they'll just limit the effect of the passive to a certain amount, or give it diminishing returns. Basically, hit it with the nerf bat.

I'm only at end hell. When I hit inferno soon, i'll definitely test/make a video.

I would guess something like, "This effect can only occur once every X seconds".

So as a WD, I hit level 40 yday and I'm not gonna lie: VQ + dire bats build looks pretty solid. Ah fudge it, I'm gonna go all in with a pet build. 8D

This rage is delicious.

Just do what I'm doing: not playing until AH prices are reasonable and content has been tuned/fixed.

See ya'll in a year! :D in game that is. This thread is fun still.

Not sure if this is news to you guys as well, but here's the latest on Inferno tuning:

http://diablo.incgamers.com/blog/comments/inferno-tuning-incoming

Basically an admission that they didn't design Inferno at all and intended to work on it post-launch, likely with a total overhaul of the itemization.

Any team that didn't really see the obvious gravitation toward Smokescreen by Demon Hunters would and should be fired for being stupid. Something like that is so blatant, the only way anyone could miss it was to simply not test.

this is lol

Abuses the first form with stunlock and then gets smacked in the shadow realm, repeatedly.

I also jumped into that stream when A Real Hero was playing, heh.

He has been killing Diablo over and over and over on that stream, so it's working quite well i'd say.
There's just a big random factor, but he can try at least 10 times in the time that it takes for a normal group to kill Diablo so it evens out.

Well, it's official. Diablo 3 is only tiding me over until Guild Wars 2, where simple things like where my character is affects the damage I take. Brilliant.

Same... but I was thinking D3 would lost longer on me than it is. I'm expecting 2 weeks top before I'm completey done.

I'm not going to run the same very very unrandom dungeons over and over and over for gear that's barely incrementally better than what I got now, as well as buying on the auction house for months on end so I can beat the boss.

I did that in WoW for 3 years.

Writing down my overall verdict of the game right now (all the issues I've had with the game is gonna be addressed, but I will also explain the things I loved). I will post it tomorrow.

Writing was already on the wall pre-release when they were like "yeah we had our guys play through Inferno then just doubled the difficulty, lol"

It was always destined to be an imbalanced mess.

They get nerfed by the time the likes of us can use them. By then, the person has made millions on the AH.

That was the case since the beginning. No super builds required. Just get to level 60 inferno on day 1 and farm chests for awesome loot, allowing you to skip most progression.
