Spike TV's talent roster for the sixth annual "Guys Choice" (#GuysChoice) is filled with some of the industry's biggest names. This one night only event has become the place for luminaries from all over the entertainment landscape to gather in order to honor the year's most "man-tastic" achievements. The 2012 "Guys Choice" Awards tapes tomorrow, Saturday, June 2 at the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, CA, and premieres next Saturday, June 9 at 9:00 PM, ET/PT on Spike TV.

Spike TV announced today that Academy Award(R)-winning star Christian Bale and uber-talented director Christopher Nolan will be on hand to accept the "Most Manticipated" award for their upcoming blockbuster, "The Dark Knight Rises." If Nolan was really serious, he would have pulled a reverse Raging Bull situation with Bale and made him start out all pudgy and weak and then stopped shooting for nine months so Bale could get into Begins form for the post-training scenes.

GUESS NOLAN'S HEART JUST AINT IN IT.

I like the batpod. It is the complete opposite to the tumbler.

Bale can gain/lose weight like a machine, he doesn't need 9 months.

That's actually what they did, except Bale did it in 2 weeks. This ain't the 80s, we got science and shit now.

Did they actually stop production for Bale to get in shape? Or was it some break in the production schedule since they were changing countries or something like that?

They locked Bale in the gym for 2 weeks with the finest steroids and personal trainers money can buy.

I was kidding, I have no clue.

My educated guess is that Bale did gain weight during production based on that thin ass bearded photo from Empire. He didn't look that thin later in production when they went to Pittsburgh and LA. Thin Beard was in London during the first month of production.

Then again, I think the pushups scene was in London too. Bale's weight is fucking weird, science can't explain it.

Due to his part in The Machinist (aka The Machinist), Christian Bale was vastly underweight (about 120 pounds on his 6 foot+ frame) when he was under consideration for the part. After being cast, he was told to become as "big as you could be" by Christopher Nolan. Bale underwent a dietary and exercise regimen and ending up weighing about 220 pounds (about 40 pounds above his normal weight). It was decided that Bale had became too large (friends of his on the film's crew dubbed him "Fatman") and he quickly shed about 20 pounds to have leaner, more muscular frame.

Like I said, Bale is a machine.

You can see it all over BB. It's made all the more funny because, like almost every movie, it wasn't shot in sequence, so Bale jumps from pudgy (early production footage, most notable for me in the Iceland sword fight scene) to much more cut (later production footage) back and forth throughout the movie.

Does testosterone supplements count as "juicing"? He doesn't seem that big. A lot of hardwork with personal trainer and chef and Im sure he could do that given enough time.
