[S-Conf] PSN+ member [NA] Infamous 2, LPB2 and Saints Row 2 + 9 Games free this month

inFamous 2 FUCK YESSS!!!! I still haven't played it yet, so I'm very happy. I also saw Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light up there! Another game I haven't played! Yusss!
 
Not sure what everyone was hoping for, but I was hoping for free games I hadn't played before, and it sounds like that's exactly what I'm getting. I'm pleased.

Yeah. I don't need that game anymore. And it wasn't that great, it was a solid game. Just an easy platinum.

But I'm hoping the other 9 (or 6 now?) games are better.

Well I'm not saying anything about the other games since I don't know what they are but the 3 they announced were pretty meh. Saints Row 2 is good I guess.
 
Well, that certainly was worth all that hoopla to sign up to Plus before E3 and I'm glad I was conned convinced to buy.

I thought that was the $5 a month thing they mentioned, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a price increase like everyone's saying.

Still love my Awesomenauts and Rock of Ages though. Already own Infamous 2 though, but I wanted to play LBP2 pretty badly. So I'm happy. Would be happier with Vita stuff too.

Some wording puzzled me on this, he said new games would be added into the "rotation" or something to that effect. Are the games free forever or only for that month/set time or will you be able to download them whenevers as longs as you have PS+? The way he said it sounded like new games replace whatever the previous ones were.

That IS how it works. How it's always worked, for the most part.

Yeah, you have to download them (or at least get them into your download history) while it's available but you can keep using free content even after the content is no longer available as long as you're a subscriber.

you expect Sony to let you keep hundreds of dollar in digital games for $50 a year or $18 for 3 months?

I see this as becoming a great membership system for Sony for people to play Greatest Hits game or Exclusive PSN games in digital form as long as they're a subscriber. Kind of like GameFly without the physical version of course.
 
Fucker, I'd rather keep getting PSN and PS classics then year old retail releases.

Already have Infamous 2 and LBP2.. so I guess I can trade them in now?

I think it's a really good deal. Out of those games, I only have LBP2 and Ratchet and Clank. The rest are games that I either really wanted but have yet to purchase (like inFamous 2 and Lara Croft) and others seem like fun experiences that I definitely wouldn't have ever played if not for this. I'm broke but I went ahead and got a 3 month sub, and I definitely don't regret it.
 
I'll definitely play Infamous 2. I already own Just Cause 2 but maybe I'll download it again despite completing about 85% of that game (which is A LOT). That's how good the game is. Sad we didn't see Just Cause 3 this year at E3. :(
 
I was debating getting Infamous 2 a couple days ago, and I don't own Saints Row 2, Ratchet or Space Marine, so it's a good deal for me. Not sure if I am going to continue subscribing past my 3 months yet though. Hopefully they offer some good deals to go along with these games.

Unless, you know.. you bought those games sometime in the last year or so. As someone who invested in PS+ since the start, and would lose a lot of content by quitting, it sucks. I don't want major releases, I want PSN and classics, toss in some minis along with the discounts and the trials.

What I don't need is giving me year old games that I bought last year.

So am I, man. So am I.

I triple dipped on JC2 Ultimate (already had PC and PS3) before this announcement. I'm a little bummed about that as I already have the big three they listed. Still, I love that game.

Here's hoping for some good PSN in the near future.

Well, there's 2 I don't already own, and would actually play.

I guess for someone who doesn't really buy a lot of games that's a great list, but as someone who buys games (usually for cheap, and surfs CAG) it's a crap list.

I only own Infamous 2 and then sidelined my PS3, this list is awesome for me
 
This sounds really promising, and something I'd definitely take advantage of, since I play fairly casually. I've only played one of the games on that list (infamous 2).
