ITT: We post screens that showcase the visual charisma lost by modern Simpsons

Oh man, my favourite lines ever delivered by (a) Krusty:
Guess who, fat boy!?

It was the delivery on some of those lines which made them. Like Homer's "But I'm using my whole ass!"
KRUSTY: "Ah, I just threw on some old rerun. Nobody'll notice."

KRUSTY (on TV): "Uh! Children do not be alarmed but the Falkland Islands have been invaded. I repeat, the Falkland Islands have been invaded."

Krusty: It says here I'm supposed to hit you with this hammer.
Sideshow Raheem: I wouldn't.

Krusty: Hey, Frosty! You want some snow, man?
Cue snow
Robert Frost: We discussed this and I said "no".

Bart: [Daniel Stern's voice, a la Wonder Years] Me? Get a job? Were they
serious? I didn't realize it at the time, but a little piece of my
childhood had slipped away, forever.
Homer: Bart! What are you staring at?
Bart: Uh, nothing. [Daniel Stern continues] He didn't say it, and neither
did I, but at that moment, my dad and I were closer than we...
Homer: Bart! Stop it!
Bart: Sorry.

Good Lord (choke)... an A-Bomb!

YAARRGH!

Can someone PLEASE post a screen or PM me with a screen of the kid who says "LOVE ME!" to Lisa (I believe) possibly in the episode where she plays stupid to be cool or whatever? Thanks in advance. I'd love it if you had the caption from the show saying Love me as well.

Are you sure that scene even exists? What episode was it in?
Positive. For a moment this kid on the playground tells either Lisa or another girl "Love me!" it is just hilarious to me.. If it helps any I remember other kids on the playground noticing the girl too which made me think it was that episode where Lisa intentionally gets Fs or poor grades to fit in

Was it a newer or older episode? If newer then I wouldn't know.

Well, the last episode of season 7 they stay at Flanders beach house and Lisa pretends to be dumb and makes friends with the cool kids, but that scene does not happen (IIRC). There's also an episode where she gives Ralph a card on Valentine's Day and he falls for her, but I don't remember that line being in that episode either. I have a feeling it's a new one.

It doesn't ring a bell. It's gotta be new.

That episode doesn't really ring a bell to me either, but could it be Separate Vocations? Episode where Lisa becomes trouble maker and Bart gets a job as hall monitor. I don't recall playground scene from that episode tho, but it's been while since I have seen it. If it's not Separate Vocations then it might be some new episode.

I googled that awhile ago and could only come up with the examples above but those don't match. The only one I can think of is Girls just want to have sums from season 17 where Lisa pretends to be a boy for some reason.

Oh God, I saw that the other day. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God.

Simpsons World: The Ultimate Episode Guide: Seasons 1-20 (Hardcover)

Barnes & Noble lists it at $14.99 and $12.74 with coupon code T4T8J4A. Found the deal on Slickdeals but I'm not sure if it's a price error or just clearing them out. 1,200 pages covering every episode during the first 20 seasons. Amazon has a list price of $60 which had already been reduced from the MSRP of $150.

Does anyone know if that is the same information from this book?

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0006V3QAY/?tag=neogaf0e-20

I have the first few of those, which cover the classic seasons so unless the hardcover has new stuff I don't know if it's worth buying it for me.

I almost picked this up at a closing Borders a while back. I think it was still pretty expensive though. <$20 is totally worth it, thanks!

^That's pretty awesome, might need to purchase down the road. Although at first glance I thought it was a boxset of all 20 Seasons or something. It'd be nice to at least see the original 10 seasons released on some kind of collectors edition Bluray.

At under $20 you might as well purchase it now. Not sure how long the price will last.

Why is Bart's shirt blue in so much of the promotional material and in the comics? I have never understood this.

His shirt was originally blue on the early merch like T-shirts and dolls as a way to know which ones were bootlegged and which ones were official(blue was official, and his standard red/orange was supposed to be bootleg). I guess they just never changed it after the whole Bartmania thing died down.

His shirt has also been green in some products, most notably some of the video games like Krusty's Fun House.
