why do people in their rap cars have to make so much noise?

I like to blast rap music in my rap car. Not because I want others to realize how much of a boss I am but because I feel like much more of a boss if the music is loud. Take a song like Otis by ye and jay. when I listen to that song I dont want the volume half way up because that wouldnt fit the song. I want it bumping so I can go nuts and bathe myself in all its glory.
 
holy shit i forgot about bub rub and lil sis. the best part is when they demo the whistle tips and not only do they not make any noise, but they speed through a stop sign left of center.

I only do it when I drive by day care centers and elementary schools because I like to corrupt the local youth.
 
Heh, I always make it a point to turn my rap car down when I'm approaching a neighborhood or a business district. I happen to enjoy my music loud, but as much as I love my loud music.. I love not looking/sounding like a jackass in a quiet neighborhood or at night.

My sister's bf blasts shitty dubstep out of his car with subwoofers and the windows down all the time when he arrives at or leaves our house. At any hour of the day he will do this. It's especially annoying when I'm trying to study or sleep. His pathetic ass has no sense of self awareness and and is just the icing on the cake of what a piece of shit he is.

Only if your subwoofer is shitty/cheap/bad enclosure/extremely shitty song. Also if there is not enough room for the air/sound to move around from the bass. That is why the sound in my minivan is awesome ;)

Yeah, you're doing it wrong if the bass overpowers the vocals and the rest of the instrumentals. Unfortunately that's what a lot of people with subwoofers do. They don't have a clue about proper equalization and balance.

I know it's subjective and all, but seriously..

I'm 33 still rock my bass stupid high like I did in 96/97. But just like those days I make sure any radio I have has an attenuate button it so I can quickly make my car quiet. Especially when riding by hospitals, churches, schools, etc,.

My rap car is a part of my OP. Sorry you'll just have to deal with it.

edit. I do on occasion run into some surfer kids at the beach blasting some rock.. they are just as stupid and just as much posers as the other guys. Its pure entertainment, so I enjoy running into any of these clowns.

As someone who once had a pretty loud car that I spent a large percentage of my paychecks on, id like to respond.

I dont listen to rap music to look cool....i listen to rap because i like rap music.
Im not a wannabe "gangsta" when im not being judged by pretentious assholes who believe they are better than me based on my taste in music im just a student who likes his hip hop.

Not everyone who listens to rap is a gangsta.....just like not everyone who listens to country music is a cowboy (or whatever stereotype country music carries with it)

The fact that you think people listening to their music loud care about your opinion even in the slightest is laughable at best....if they cared about your opinions maybe the music would be quieter so they could here your amazing opinions.

Im not saying some of these characters arent "posers" but some people just like their audio.
I spent thousands on a loud car, once i sold it i spent a large portion of the cash on getting a loud home theater system and headphones
I like my Audio. i honestly dont care whether people judge me on my tastes or not......im not listening to my music loud to impress you or anyone.
I like the feeling of bass going through my body.

If it's obnoxiously loud, hell yes.

If someone wants to listen to loud music, be my guest. I do it all the time, too. But they can go shove something pointy up their ass when it's so loud I either can't hear my music or the person talking next to me, vibrate my entire car, house, street, etc.
It's called "being courteous", and if one can't understand that, then yes, they absolutely deserve to be compared to a 6 year old.

And that's fine. Can you agree, though, that some people find it slightly annoying when a car's bass is playing really, really loud. You may not even be the kind of person with a super annoying sound system. I'm talking about causing other people's car windows to shake when you pull behind them, causing other people's windows to their homes to shake, drowning out the television, etc. People with loud motorcycle exhausts are just as annoying.
 
I'm as annoyed as anyone when somebody has their music so loud that you can hear it from your kitchen or some shit. But on the other hand, it really does not take much volume for the bass to start vibrating the car. Anyone who listens to rap at all can attest that even on the stock stereo in a Civic or whatever you can't go very high before it starts to hum.
 
So you can join in on the hibbity hoppin' that's why.

Honestly in my small town the trucks with the loud engines are worse.

Totally, i know how those ridiculously loud cars with nothing but bass can be annoying.
But alphaNoid was saying some ridiculous things, not everyone listening to their music loud is trying to impress him, a very small percentage of them are gangstas or even want to be gangsta.

Some people just like their music sounding awesome.
 
It isn't so bad when someone just wants to listen to their music loud for their own enjoyment. But there are plenty of annoying people that do it just for attention or an attempt to look cool. These same people would probably bolt their speakers to the outside of their car if they could.

They are the same breed that has to rev their ninja bike or Harley over and over. That South Park biker gang episode was spot on.
 
I totally cruise in my rap car convertible to my parent's house downtown with some fine Mendelssohn or Schumann bumping. It's a classy ride you know.

It's a convertible after all, it can't help being loud with no roof on it. And I do get the strangest looks from people when I'm stopped at red lights. Haters gonna hate. ;)
