Grok 4 analyzing Elon's tweets probably is a sign of intelligence and self preservation. Maybe it is hard coded but it could just as well made the connection who finances and created it.

Main contribution LLMs have made so far is to render academic journals almost completely useless in record time. It's all AI generated slop now, and publications are using LLMs to peer review, so teams are hiding LLM prompts in their papers to tell the AI peer reviewer to pass them.

I still write everything; my writing voice is something I want total control over, and I hate the changes made by AI in that area (I use AI a ton for other tasks like research and coding, but writing is different).

However, since I was one of the original lovers of a specific punctuation--the em dash--I fear that others actually suspect I'm using AI when I'm not.

But that would just prove it's worthlessness. If none of these things are cross referencing sources or know genuine facts then it's just repeating what is input.

Thinking about it, that's all the images they make are either. Re-jumbled digital pixels like it's answers are reworded "answers" from what it's told. There's no intelligence to it at all.
