"Meet The Pyro" video is out!

Neatly covered all three possibilities.

Heavy calls Pyro "that creature", covering the Alien/gender less theory.
Scout says "Is he here?"
Pyro-vision music: "Do you believe in magic in a young girl's heart?"

So they've succesfully covered all 3 possibilities while distracting us with pyro vision damn!

"Optical Mask"

I've always wondered what the text read, finally saw a close up.

So basically Pyro is confirmed a "he" ("he's not here, is he?!), and he enjoys dropping acid? (or is that the effect of asbestos exposure?)

The video is cool but didn't people want to know wheather it was a guy or a girl? Disappointing that all we found out was MLP vision.

Revealing gender, or species isn't a good move. It would appease half the people who made the initial assumption, and alienate the other half who guesses wrong.

By keeping it unknown, both sides can keep speculating.

No confirmation actually... all three possibilities out there.

Uh, no...

I didn't enjoy it :|

Only me then.
I thought the baby stuff was just weird and out of place, and a little creepy, and would have preferred it to stay all fiery. I mean, burning the sniper or medic was good creepy, but the baby world was just weird creepy.

Maybe the bouncing exploding unicorn will be a new pyro item in serious world. The lollipop just looked like the normal axe in serious world.

Ok ok, I missed the obvious musical lyric hint. So the only thing we know for sure is that he/she/it likes dropping acid. Edit: Or just flat out insane...

They've added some sort of sub surface scattering effects to source, you can see the illumination effect on the heavy's ear. Pretty cool addition to Source. Must've been for one of the heroes in Dota 2 or something. Still doesn't like, make up for Source still feeling creaky.

Cute film anyway.

Mine's still Meet the Sniper. Dat Magnum Force music.

They´re all awesome, my least favorite being the Demoman. That said, I feel it´s kind of unfair for the earlier videos, as they had much more time and maybe even budget for the Spy, Medic and Pyro videos. They need to come out with an animated movie ASAP.

My favorite is the soldier's. Just because the whole video is setup to deliver the final punchline. It's such a ridiculous story, and great for one of their earlier attempts.

"I'm a grim bloody fable, with a unhappy bloody end"

I love Meet the Demoman. Meet the Engi is the weakest for me.
I loved this though

Despite the obviously lower production values I still think Meet the Engineer and Meet the Heavy are among the best.

Engineer is the weakest for me, followed by Heavy (though it's not so much Heavy's fault, as it started as an animation test for Source and got spun into a neat little promo video). Then Demoman, then Scout.

From there the Big Four are (from amazing best to great best) are Spy, then Medic, then Pyro, then Sniper.

I wish you could lock people up in rooms now.

I like that idea. Have maps with closable doors. Doors take 3-5 seconds to close and lock, can only be opened from one side. Doors can be solid or have holes to allow weaponsfire through while still preventing player movement through.

The real reason it takes them so long is because they're designing merch alongside it:

Pyro is my favourite class and character in TF2. The video was very fitting. Loved it.

I hope we get some more class loadouts as well today for the Pyro
