we've been socializing in a couple of threads but this is the first time I've seen your face, leeness. You may have read it a couple of times here in the forum, I guess, but you are SO cute, you have a beautiful face.

That's okay. You can join eyeball GAF if you want.

Don't listen to eyeball gaf, glasses gaf is where it's at.

hell no, SMILE-gaf is where it's at.

Looks like a troll face. :D

yeah, multi-purpose potato troll face for the win :D

The only real downsides to glasses for me are weather related. When it's raining or snowing, they kind of suck. And when going from hot outside to cool inside, they fog up. D:

And not being able to do sports and other outdoor activities comfortably, not being able to doze off in bed with a book without fearing you'll break them, never truly getting back your perfect vision, not being able to do a pilots training...I can think a lot more reasons why glasses suck. Been wearing glasses and contacts since I was 10. As soon as I get my degree and land a job, the first pay check is going towards laser surgery.

I swear I'll fix that! D:

My hair just looks funny. :<

Hm, maybe tonight? :D

I've had to wear them since I was 6 months old. I literally can't remember a time when I didn't have to. I'm terrified and surgery and love glasses. No reasons for me!

Hmm, well if Glasses-GAF is a thing, maybe I should join that. I do wear glasses most of the time, except when partying or at home. Glasses at the club is risky with the risk of dropping them and at home I'm just lazy most of the time :D

I use glasses only when working, playing or reading.

I also subscribed to this thread, getting late in here so, if I'm brave enough I'll be resizing a picture and changing my avatar tomorrow.

HNNG, maybe...

I'm just bitter I'll never get to pilot an aircraft :(

You must have been quite a responsible 6 month old!

You're not Kojima?

Swimming or even going to steam bath (or any other wet or steamy place) sucks when you're wearing glasses. :/

Glasses are also the reason I hate 3D movies. Wearing 3d glasses over my regular ones for over 1.5 hour isn't really comfortable.

That's why I prefer lenses.
My FOV is also wider with them, glasses kinda makes everything "smaller" - at least with my weak eyes.

Having to wear 3D glasses isn't particularly great either. Some movies can be alright in 3D, but when it's basically just one or two scenes that you really notice it, it's kind of pointless. Just makes the screen a little bit darker.

I can't see 3D.

Also, most of my issues are with close-up stuff. I can get away with not wearing them for a little while. But after a few hours not wearing them I get dizzy and headaches. Also, nothing is as clear as in glasses, but it's still bearable.

That's funny actually because I've found putting on other people's glasses made me feel a little bit dizzy. It makes my eyes go funny as well.

The only movie I genuinely enjoyed in 3D was alice in wonderland, that film with johnny depp and maybe Avatar but all other films... I feel like I will throw up, the harry potter films, what a fucking nightmare they are in 3D.

The Harry Potter films weren't originally filmed in 3D were they? Retrofitted 3D is just the worst. :/

I can't believe I still have perfect vision, I come from a long line of people who needed glasses from a really early age. I'd love to wear them if i needed to. Does constantly reading neogaf on an iPhone improve your vision, maybe?

I remember vividly feeling extremely sick in the chalice of fire when harry fights the dragon. not only did I take the glasses off I had to look to the floor for a minute and close my eyes, awful.

Well there is evidence for a correlation between myopia and learnedness, implying that those who read much tend to have higher risk of near-sightedness. I can only assume this can only be the case at a young age when the eyes are not yet fully developed. You perhaps 'train' your eyes to focus on shorter distances causing axial elongation in the growing eyes. This would explain the high rate of myopia in China, where children have to spend a lot of time learning the characters. So if there is any merit to this, reading Neogaf on your iPhone will deteriorate your vision if you are not fully grown.

I changed my avatar, to a picture actually taken in July (5 minutes ago) not that it matters!
I need a hair cut for tomorrow though, going to a summer ball D:

Alright, now I'm (and my kitten Leela) officially in the RP July. The picture before was from RP Jan! I don't think I'd be participating in eyeball pictures though... Those are a tad creepy looking. :p
