Keaton did it better and with style. Fancy shields, remote Batmobile driving, etc.
But does Wayne Applied Sciences have Retina Screen tech?
Other than the Hollywood(tm) car chase and associated one-liners, (which I think are rather endearing) it's still awesome.
Whatchu talkin' 'bout? That's a great car chase, probably the best action sequence in the movie.
Emma?Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it too, but you can imagine the discussion that Nolan had with the producers and studio heads.
"We need to sell some toys, can you stick in a car chase somewhere? And possibly a villain named Bob The Goon? We have some figures leftover from' 89"
Did I just see a new TV spot on Comedy Central?
Opened with someone yelling "Who are you?!"
Had Alfred saying "You're not Batman anymore."
Action inter-spliced with a faded text of "RISE"
Spoilered for Sculli's sake.
What if there was a trailer for the next Batman movie before TDKR? NOLAN!!!!!
Sculli appreciates you.

You don't know she's dead. Katie Holmes has a lot more free time all of a suddenRereading the thread, and I'm surprised there were so many haters for the boat scene. Yes, it seems cheesy in hindsight, but when I was first watching it I was on the edge of my seat. The high pitched music building up perfectly paralleled the increasing tension. This may have been the crux of the whole film's theme of whether the people of Gotham (and I suppose society in general) could collectively be pushed to completely abandon their morals and humanity, which would mean the Joker had won. All of that was riding on whether or not one of these two boats (mostly the citizens of course) would press the goddamn button.
Watching it again and knowing how it all plays out ruins the effect of the moment, compared to when I watched it the first time and had no idea how it was all gonna play out. Perhaps some of you went into the mindset that there was no way the citizens would blow up the other boat because that would end the film on a terribly dark note atypical of superhero movies. Two things: this type of mindset is terrible and is basically what ruined Toy Story 3 for me at the inferno scene, and I actually wasn't sure whether Nolan had the balls to have the citizens blow up the other ship after he killed Rachel like that. That was the first time I've seen the love interest of a protagonist literally explode. Maybe I don't watch enough movies.

Shouldn't it be Harley Quinn?Oh she'll be back but it'll be clayface actually.

Prove to me she's dead.Bruce: Rachel, you're alive!? I thought I lost you to the Joker forever.
Rachel: Sweet nipples of Schumacher Bruce, did you not realize that the impostor looked NOTHING FUCKING LIKE ME?
Prove to me she's dead.
Lazarus pit opens up so many ideas. She got blown up in a building.
I'm hoping Rachel is dead and never ever ever ever ever comes back in a Batman movie.
Ever ever ever ever ever again.
Prove to me she's dead.
As Bane?reviving Rachel is the biggest waste of Lazarus pit I've ever heard of.

New movies usually open on Friday/popular day.I'm playing around with Fandango's site. They have tickets on sale through July 26. When would they put up tickets for the 27th? I figured they'd add a day with each passing one, but it's been the same since Friday, at least.
All that Matrix talk really harshed everyone's mellow.Top post was from yesterday, that's pretty unusual for this thread. Guess everyone bailed.
