The Movie Tie-In Videogame thread on the Gaming Side got me thinking, why the heck is there not a Dark Knight Rises video game? I realize the Dark Knight video game was cancelled due to time constraints, but at least they were planning one.

Because it would suck.

Bullshit. The Batman Begins video game was pretty swell. And you've already got an open-world Batman game to base your work off of (Arkham City). I want my Bane fight QTEs damn it.

Arkham Series negates the point.

But can't the Arkham series be like the Spider-Man video game series, where you've got the video game universe (i.e. Shattered Dimenions, Edge of Time) and the movie tie in by the same studio (The Amazing Spider-Man Video Game). Of course, splitting up the teams may have had a damper on the quality seeing as how none of these games reach the caliber of Arkham City, but still. I think Rocksteady could have pulled it off. Then again, I know nothing about video game development and am probably underestimating the time and work costs it would take to make the game, but screw it all. I'm a dreamer.

The Batman Begins game would be a reference for cheap video game cash-ins.

For a proper movie-tie-in, there would be too much constraints for Rocksteady to work with. They've shown and proven they work best when allowed to roam free. Leave them be and let them work on Arkham Land, World and inevitably Universe.

Stuck in limbo.

It got released.

In Cobb's dreams.

Because there would be certain expectations in the wake of the Arkham series and I would imagine Warner wants to keep that as it's high quality Batman game.

Being away from a movie tie in is the best thing for Batman tbh.

They updated the song clips on Watertower its now 60 seconds.

And bonus tracks for the soundtrack

Bombers Over Ibiza (Junkie XL Remix) (5:51)
The Shadows Betray You (5:20)
The End (6:13)

I like to listen to the soundtrack, creating my own version of the movie. That way when I see it in theaters I'll be surprised when Eddie Murphy's character is revealed.

More on the Shirley Walker front...

While working on Vol 2 a number of episodes of the first "65" got the axe and will be featured on Vol 3: Robin's Reckoning Parts 1 and 2, Day of the Samurai and The Clock King to name a few.

Our plan is to have Vol 3 out next year (possibly another 4 disc set). That would be all the music we would release from the first 65. We are also contemplating releasing an empty box when vol 3 comes out so people can put all 3 volumes inside. It would be like $5 (or around there) if people wanted to buy it separately or free with purchase of Vol 3...something like that.
