Sakanaction: Documentaly - Shinshiro
Verbal Jint: 10 Years of Misinterpretation
Shinichi Osawa: SO2
Jo Kwon: Animal
Sakanaction: Boku To Hana

...yeah Sakanaction is totally my new favourite group <3

Danny Brown is what Twin Shadow would look like if you turned up the sliders in his character creation screen.

Lotta plays the past week:
Diiv - Oshin
Glen Hansard - Rhythm and Repose
Purity Ring - Shrines
Clams Casino - Instrumental Mixtape 2
Beach House - Bloom
Killer Mike - R.A.P. Music
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea

Now I'm going to go have a week listening to a lot of Girls since Chris Owens apparently left the band

A Place To Bury Strangers - Worship (Noise/Shoegaze)

Pretty great. I'm liking it a bit less than Exploding Head and their S/T but I think it's definitely an improvement upon Onwards Towards The Wall. Good stuff.

Tallest Man On Earth - There's No Leaving Now (Folk/Acoustic)

Probably my AOTY so far besides BBNG2

Dehyy.jpg

Old Man Gloom - NO (Sludge/Post-Metal)

Really digging this. Getting a big early ISIS vibe from this album. Like pre-Celestial ISIS vibe.

Mass Of The Fermenting Dregs - World Is Yours (Alt-Rock/Shoegaze)
Love this album. Been a while since I've listened to it but it's always been my favorite from their discography.

Gang Gang Dance - Eye Contact (Electronic/Experimental)

Good stuff but I find myself constantly having Glass Jar on repeat. Amazing amazing track.

Also been listening to the new Minus The Bear track

Really catchy as always but it feels like they're delving more and more into the MTB sound that I don't like as much lately. I miss the noodle-y guitar works from Dave Knudson.

Also been loving the new song from How To Dress Well

So hyped for his new album.

Well I got this idea in my head to host a Plug.DJ room with all of my favorite groups in music GAF squaring off in musical battle royale. I've invited Pop-Gaf/Gaf-Hop/Electronic-Gaf, and all of the happening dudes in the listening thread. I hope this room keeps going until the A.M.'s, and I also hope somebody else shows up, but I have high hopes that this will turnout decent at least.

Here's the room: Music Is Fun

...If you'd like to DJ at any point and don't want to wait, just ask me, I will give you my spot. I will be super accommodating, anyone that wants to DJ will have a chance I promise. The more DJs the better.

Compiling my fav albums of all time for another forum so I'm revisiting a lot of older favorites while trying to keep up with some modern stuff:

Heard these two bands perform at the beginning of the year with a friend and decided to check out more of their stuff ;p

The Avalanches - Since I Left You

Well, right now I'm listening to the radio....

It's not music, but I haven't heard Phil in years and started listening again about 2 weeks ago. He's still hilarious! He's doing the whole Anderson Cooper thing with his "guests" right now. LOL!

Saw Metric play last night in London, which was pretty awesome. The crowd skewed fairly heavily male - more so than most indie stuff I've seen in town, which surprised me given female lead etc.

Anyway, gig was really good, sound was better than last time I was at Shepherds Bush Empire, and a lot of the songs off the new album worked better live than on track. Wished they'd played Police and the Private though

Now I'm going to go have a week listening to a lot of Girls since Chris Owens apparently left the band

I think I jinxed this. Saw their last performance to date at Primavera. Had the choice between Girls and I Break Horses. Chose Girls because I figured they were the most likely to break up...

Listening to Chromatics and Beach House still.
