I'd love it if they had Grimmjow just stand up from the exact same spot where he was cut down by Nnoitra almost five years ago, and walk over and just start beating the shit out of Kirge.
It'll never happen exactly like those circumstances, but man would that be glorious.
Oh god.

This NEEDS to happen. It would save the entire arc.

One Piece 673:

I get you completely, but consider that we have to get to these guys eventually. I was always under the impression that most of the big guys in the New World would be people already revealed (well, revealed like Kaido and Big Mom were "revealed").

Imagine if we now had an arc about a totally new guy unrelated from all these people. Fresh as it would be, now one of the dozens of big guys is under-represented. And then in the end all these dudes will pop up in the final war, get rushed into closing up shop, and that's it.
Plus everyone in this thread will bitch that none of the important people are in the arc and that it's boring.

So we're sort of at the point where an arc in One Piece means it's an arc in the cohesive world of One Piece, and not a standalone thing. I could be wrong and we'll suddenly get a new Enel or something, but I don't want you to hope for this too much and maybe be disappointed every arc.

These "fans" are ruining One Piece. You're definitely speaking the truth but it's annoyed me since Thriller Bark. When Thriller Bark was first revealed you had an interesting arc with a bunch of mystery surrounding the island and all sorts of new characters with weird powers/abilities...and no one gave a shit. Then all of a sudden, Gecko Moria is revealed as a Shichibukai and everyone cares again. And I doubt I have to remind anyone about Fishman Island and the "OMG please Big Mom save us from Hodi" cries. I miss the CP9 days.

But it makes sense for this to happen there in the NW which is rule by the Emperors.
Akainu put Marine HQ into the NW so the marines can get a better foothold in there .
Plus Doflamingo is the only Warlord that not really get arc with the SH yet.

Plus the SH are not small time rookies anymore there are world renowned pirates there are going to interact with all the big boys from both the marines and pirate world plus where ever else.

Is DoFlamingo even on Punk Hazard? I was assuming he was "working behind the scenes" again (aka the Auction House slave sales) and this reveal was just to build up more hype towards the confrontation with the character.

I don't think he's on the island at the moment. I'm fairly certain that the main "boss" of this arc is going to be Caesar, who is more that apt enough to be the big bad considering his powers. Knowing Oda though, I wouldn't put it past him to have Doflamingo show up at the very end of the arc after Caesar's beaten and the SH's are exhausted from fighting, ala Kuma's appearance at Thriller Bark.

Naruto

Yawn..

Though the last few lines are interesting since we might finally see the best villain in this series again.

Bleach

I guess everyone is still fucking worthless?

One Piece

I see he's back in the limelight again. His actions (being the slave trader) plus his current rank of Warlord and the new world makes him a another target for Luffy (especially if Luffy knows he was a slave trader who was trying to sell Camie).

Bleach
Dear, Chad and Orihime: EAT IT.
Terrible chapter.

Naruto
Orochimaru coming back? This whole chapter's a tease.

One Piece
Mother-fucking-Goda!

Smoker & Luffy held captive, and big bad Shichibukai in charge? Shoutouts to Alabasta. The reveals are delicious!

One Piece

Rather dull. Only highlight was really Traffy waking up and Luffy asking the million dollar question, but otherwise too many scene changes with not enough time given to any of these events to make them interesting made it feel too fast paced, hard to follow, and boring. It doesnt make sense that they are running away from the slime, after many years of training they should be able to destroy that pet as well as be able to easily break out the cage.

I don't see Doflamingo showing up at the end but this is going to make him care about the SH if they mess up part of his plan .
So yeah all of this to hype him before the SH meet him and show us more of his character .
I really like how Doflamingo is like a mafia boss in the way he thinks.

I just find it funny that the bullet hole nazi tells Ichigo to watch soul society crumble when he is "supposedly" trapped in dangai. He even calls his attack a dark cage. I'm hoping the attack comes with a movie seat, popcorn, and projector linked to wifi enabled jigokucho in SS. But I'm skeptical about the wifi coverage in dangai... We could have a problem.

One Piece 673

The chapter was decent enough but I wish Oda would stop tossing Emperors/Shichibukai/Admirals into the arcs all the time now in order to make the stories more "exciting"/make up for weak villains. Law/Ceasar and Vegapunk connection/Aokiji vs Akainu were enough as it is.

I like how everything is being set up. It shows that the crew is now in the big leagues.

Other shonen manga seem to turn into RPG type leveling with enemy scaling. Glad Oda is not going the "now Luffy has trained so he can beat everyone till we meet the next major boss" route.

I think it has a HDTV and an ipad so Ichigo can just watch it on the TV via the ipad

Oda's been setting this up though. As whatsinaname said, they're in the big leagues. There was a huge difference between the old SHs and the bigger names. That's what gives OP this grand-scale view, Oda's given us reason to like all these other characters, unlike Bleach where it's just a capulets vs montagues-like brawl.

Oda said that he had everything set up for the ending, so everything from now on is developing old storylines, characters, not creating new plotlines.

So that's why Virgo is not part of a new secret zodiac cabal, but just part of Doflamingo's crew.

Expect more of this in the future.

Well they still have a while to go before the can take on the power houses in fights but they are getting there in both name and power.

Fiance girl have arrived, what are you gonna do Raku GAF ? Whose gonna start a new team for this girl?

Naruto
I don't care how little sense it makes, if Naruto and Sasuke don't have one final face off, this will have been the biggest troll I've ever read. Literally six years of build up for nothing. Fuck this change of heart bullshit.

Naruto

I just realized, with Tobi being really stupid and impatient, Bee is probably going to live to see the end of the manga, YAY.

I wonder if suigetsu and that other douche will ever find out what sasuke did to karin. I doubt either of them liked her very much, but it would probably make them think less of sasuke.

One Piece 673

I'm assuming the reason Franky is asleep is so that Vergo/Law can give back story before he wakes up and just blasts his way out of the cage with a mouth cannon or something?

I wasn't sure if they were french fries or something sticking off of his marine uniform.

Why? We already have too many characters and not enough time to develop. The Emperors and stuff had no real importance in the first half, and now it's the New World it makes sense we'll be seeing more of the top-tier folk. These people are important to the world and One Piece, it wouldn't be reasonable for some random guy to come out of nowhere and be as strong as a Yonkou. We'll be seeing a bunch of new and old folk in the New World.

people didn't like Hodi because Hodi was simply garbage, he had no charm, he was arlong but without any good qualities. The fights were so boring and one sided, the Fishman arc was the lowest point of One Piece, it was unbearable and poorly written.

I love OP, but, if we ever get another Arc as bad Fishman Island, I'll drop this manga.

As it stands I love this arc, a nice combo of new and old characters.

One Piece

That was unexpected. Doflamingo is finally getting some time to shine.

naruto

zzzZzz. I guess next chapter we get to set the Jyuubi

Bleach

Decent. Opie is super powerful, and yet he's not evena member of the Stern Ritter? if SS wins this I'll drop Bleach. I want to go back to SS now. Let's see the Captains lose and the Royal guard come out.

Bleach

Everything in Hueco Mundo has been so good this arc. Ichigo rushing off looked great and then that surprise! Uruhara should have gone bankai if he wanted to really devastate Kirge, but I guess it will now mean he has to get serious to fight, if he wants to save Ichigo. Though I wonder if Ichigo can break free from the cage. Perhaps he will unleash a new skill?

Orochimaru all over my face.

I don't like all the switching around from place to place. We're obviously getting pretty close to Tobi's unmasking though given that Naruto is talking about it again. I rather wonder if Naruto is going to fight Madara, too. Kishimoto put out a blurb that Naruto is ending soon recently, but he's increased the number of overpowered enemies to four now.

Naruto

Masked tobi getting impatient, hes gonna die soon, Orochimaru returns? I never doubted for a second, the remnants of taka are starting to annoy me, they have no place in this manga now

FI arc was okay for what it was suppose to be a arc showing the SH kicking ass after getting beat so many times along with some OP world building.
Hodi was trash but it tied well into the whole racism thing .
I read FI arc over the Davy back arc any day which IMO is the lowest part of OP .

My assumption is that Orochimaru will return to take Kabuto's body, but it's a little harder to accomplish now that Itachi is dead again. Itachi, Kabuto and Sasuke all being in the same place was a great opportunity for that to occur.

As for Bee, yeah, there's no way he's going to kill him.

Dunno if anyone said this but I looked at my calendar, then checked online just to be safe, and Jump's coming out Saturday next week.. but I'm still not sure if it means Saturday-Sunday chapters, because usually Saturday Jump means it was printed straight after the last week's copies..
I hope not, as it means 1.5 weeks of nothing afterwards.

Yamada and the Seven Witches

Yamada's face + Yamada's personality = OK
Yamada's face + Urara's personality = A-OK
Urara's face + Yamada's personality = THUMBS UP

Urara's face + Urara's peronality = I feel sick, where's my medicine. Wait, what?

Come on now, seriously. This is freaking me out. I'm freaking out.

And we've got our table of contents for this week:

Takamagahara (Cover, Lead CP, New Series, 54pg.)
Hmm interesting
Another creator, Jūzō Kawai, is launching a manga series called Takamagahara (bottom right) in the 32nd issue on July 9. Kawai's manga is different from Megumi Tachikawa's Mugen Densetsu Takamagahara manga, which Tokyopop published in North America under the title Dream Saga.

I assume this new series is from a new mangaka? Has he/she done any oneshots I should look into?

Takamagahara from Wiki
Takama-ga-hara (高天原, the Plain of High Heaven?) is a place in Japanese mythology. In Shinto, Takama-ga-hara (or Takama no Hara) is the dwelling place of the kami. It is believed to be connected to the Earth by the bridge Ama-no uki-hashi (the "Floating Bridge of Heaven").

In Shinto, ame (heaven) is a lofty, sacred world, the home of the amatsukami. Some scholars have attempted to explain the myth of descent of the gods from the Takama-ga-hara as an allegory of the migration of peoples. However, it is likely to have referred from the beginning to a higher world in a religious sense. A Shinto myth explains that at the time of creation, light, pure elements branched off to become heaven (ame). Heavy, turbid elements branched off to become earth (tsuchi). Ame became the home of the amatsukami or gods of heaven, while tsuchi became the home of kunitsukami or gods of the land. The amatsukami are said to have descended from heaven to pacify and perfect this world[1]).

If I understand it correctly the next issue is gonna released on Saturday 14th July since Monday 16th July is a holiday in Japan. The one after that should be released on Monday 23th July.

You're not understanding my complaint, especially with the bolded. The "saving grace" for Fishman Island for most readers was Oda tossing in Big Mom and more Shichibukai/Emperor involvement into the story vs just being more creative with the villains and telling the story better. Oda shouldn't have to rely on Emperor/Shichibukai/etc reveals in every arc to make the stories exciting or to beef up villains (he didn't have to in the past). Ever since Garp got involved in the story and dropped that huge story dump on us, Oda has been adding more involvement from Admirals/Emperors/etc... because it's gotten positive feedback from fans. It has less to do with "It's the second half of the grand line and Luffy and co are stronger now" and more to do with "One Piece sales multiply every time the word Emperor, Admiral, Shichibukai, or any combination of the word is mentioned".

It's a "less obvious/annoying" version of Bleach and the Soul Society crew. But then again the one time Kubo took them out of the story the manga ratings dropped and he had to make a "this is the final arc" announcement, so it's probably better Oda keeps doing what he's doing.

One piece

Well I guess that kind of explains the similar jolly roger between hearts pirates and Bellamy/Doflamingo

Interesting chapter, Sanji Ms. Prince is going to think of a way to rescue Luffy maybe? Like he did back in the crocodile arc

Akame ga Kill

Oh god dammit, now the string dude got his flashback. I really don't want him to die, please don't die.

But that ending, hahaha.

Well yeah, that's what I was talking about.

Usually Saturday Jump mean they print those issues alongside the Monday issues of the same week, so it gets out in English by the Saturday/Sunday after the Wednesday of the previous week. This time it was sort of a coincidence so I don't know if that's the case.

It has everything to do with it being the second half along with other factors.
We know about the Emperors for years the same thing for Doflamingo , Dragon etc etc and up to a short while ago they play no part in the manga .
Why should Oda not use characters he made for that very reason .
We are going to see new characters but the OP world has been set up for ages now and it time for us to see more and more of the big boy since the SH are getting up there .
Also Oda always had one of the 3 main groups in his story for years now.

Do you want the series to go on forever? Doflamingo has been a known character for like 15+ years and hasn't done anything. Oda has to start getting these major figures out of the way if he's ever going to end this thing.

It's the New World. It makes complete sense that everything in interconnected through either the Yonkou or a major figure like Doflamingo. We're not in East Blue or the Grand Line anymore where some random dude can go around acting tough. Law himself said it best earlier this arc: You either ally with the Yonkou or you fight against them in the New World.

And I think most people were fine with this arc before the current reveal. People just hated on the Fishman Island arc because it was shit with almost no redeeming qualities. The Big Mom reveal got so much praise because it was the only saving grace of that failure of an arc.

This arc, on the other hand, has been fine and Caesar's a strong enough villain to be the 'Big Bad' for the arc. People are just more hyped now, because, like I said, we've been waiting to see Doflamingo do something for years.

So you basically don't want early chapters because the waiting for the next ones is slightly longer? I don't mind either way, as long as we get the same amount of chapters.

I still can't figure out why Nisekoi is so highly ranked in the Jump polls every week. I guess Team Onodera is bigger than I thought.

Isn't it the currently the only romcom/harem manga in the magazine? It has a monopoly on that strangely reliable fanbase of that genre.

Naruto

Starting to think Sasuke is going to go see some revelation when he meets with Orochimaru, and is going to arrive just in time to save Naruto when he's about to get destroyed by Madara and Tobi. He's probably going to defeat Madara on his own (outshining Naruto in the process) and be applauded and forgiven by the Kages, since they proved to be worthless.

Unfortunately, I think the Naruto vs. Sasuke showdown is becomming more and more likely to just be a friendly sparring match. Ugh.

Why was it important for Tobi to turn Sasuke against Konoha and have him (somewhat) on his side? And he goaded him to get the eternal mangekyou. Maybe that's what the revelation is about?

Bleach

I knew some of these info and the others like Blut was a nice piece of info. Yes, i was hoping the VR did know Ransou Tengai, so they can wreak shit on Soul Society.

Naruto

ALL IS FORGIVEN KISHIMOTO, JUST BRING OROCHIMARU BACK :DDDDDDDDDDDD

I can see the convo between Sasuke and Oro

Sasuke: Blah blah info
Oro: Blah blah get me out of this genjutsu world (or bring me back)
Sasuke: Blah blah, deal.

one piece

The reveal was nice, i wonder if an admiral can take down Daflamingo.

KHR

A build up chapter.

Takamagahara 01

It's a battle manga, for those of you who are interested.

The main character is a schoolboy in Japan called Yamato Yamada (first last). He has four brothers, and together they're the "Yamada Brothers Five", all of which are retardedly strong at any physical activity (they do pushups on top of each other...). The oldest brother, Musashi, is very proud of how strong their family is. All of them (minus Yamato) aim to become the stronger.

Yamato, however, wants to draw manga. His stated goals are that he wants to win the Tezuka Award, and to reach the ceiling of Jump. Unfortunately, his manga is not fit for consumption ("It's shit" and "Normal people will die from reading your manga"). And he happens to be a lot better at physical activities than at drawing manga.

The concept behind the story is related to Solune's post above. Supposedly, there are descendants of the gods living amongst humans, and these descendants have sleeping potential. Superhuman abilities, magic, or bizarre powers. Guess who awakens his power in chapter one?

It's high school business thus far, so you get your dark uniforms and obvious dangerous guys (with pompadours!). Coincidentally on this July 4th, the big cheeses are called "Yankees"...The chapter is about standard for a battle manga start, with some decent humor; art is pretty sweet. Right now though, the cast is made of sausages.

Best part of the chapter is a two page spread of a FIST BUMP.

Assassination Classroom 02

I don't think this manga will last that long if it continues in this vein. It seems safe and subdued compared to the mangaka's previous work. Maybe that's not bad. The chapter does express how an insanely fast, alien teacher can provide certain instruction that normal teachers can't.

It's interesting how a student incorporates his hobby into his assassination plan. I wonder what the other students are going to do.

Isn't it the currently the only romcom/harem manga in the magazine? It has a monopoly on that strangely reliable fanbase of that genre.
Koisome and Pajama.

Nisekoi will eventually fall though, because romcoms can only last so long without getting boring.
