I had Deus Ex but traded it in for towards another game a few weeks later, can't remember which one. I enjoyed it but only got to the asian city, so 'll definitely be redownloading and playing this!!!

I don't mind the staggered releases, as long as the first title is ok, that will tide you over till the mid month update!!

Depends how you see it. Many many people will already have Deus Ex - I do. Whereas I don't have Gotham City or Pacman. I'm only happy with it because my disc drive is dead so I can actually have a DD copy of the game now and play through the DLC.

Yep, different strokes for different folks.

Neither of the 3 PSN titles announced for NA yesterday interest me whereas I'd really like to try out Deus Ex.

Yes. I have to say I find the SCEE method of handling the PS+ rotation way better.

1) Give a free game in the beginning of the month (PSN or Bluray)
2) Rotate 1 PSN + 1 Bluray game in the middle of the month.

Of course, at any time US has 12 games on the catalog while EU "only" has 10 but it's a price I'm willing to pay if it means the rotation is quicker.
 
oh wow, nice to see some more proper-proper games being free on PS+. (although i still have everything bought already besides Darksiders) Keep' em coming SCEE! :D

Ditto. Haven't played Motorstorm or Darksiders and always wanted to. Guess I'll wait for SCEA doing their belated magic.
Also, EU titles will stay at a maximum of 12 weeks whereas US store titles will star for 16 weeks with less game rotation. Fuck that shit!

Hell yeah! I've been thinking about buying DE:HR, after a couple of friends recommended it to me.

You still get all the updates a day before us (sometimes even a week before us, like ME3:EC), and you have services like Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Qore, Pulse, etc... that we don't have. There are a plenty of demos on US PSN, that have never arrived on EU PSN. So, you really can't complain about being served poorly. That's our sole right.

I think so. We start threads anytime a decent deal comes up on Amazon or Best Buy, or lots of times anything comes up for an XBox Live Gold subscription sale. I think a new thread every month would be helpful. I think a lot of GAF doesn't realize how awesome PS+ is.

Also, whoever takes this thread responsibility should make sure they explain what is new, what is staying, and what is leaving.

July - Game of the Month - Deus Ex Human Revolution

Two New Games will replace Warhammer and Chime on 18' July.

Two New Games will replace Darksiders Renegade Ops on 15th August

Two New Games will replace Outland and Oddworth Strangers on 12th September


3 [1 year]+ 6 [June] + 6[12 weeks July to Sep] + 6[12 weeks Oct to Dec] + 6 [12 weeks Jan to March] + 6[12 weeks April to June] + 12 [Game of the month]

In Total 45 Games a year as told in the blog ^_-
 
I'm starting to think I should just get PSN+ for my UK account as well. I think it'd be worth the investment.

but with my luck as soon as I do, the US Plus content and the UK one will start to be the same. :(
 
Was not expecting to get Deus Ex and am disappointed because I already have it. Hopefully the 18th is better and I can get to play something I'm still to play. At least others will be able to enjoy a great game.

I've had plus for nearly a year now and got to say i've had loads of good games for the price of subscription and has definitely been more than worth it for me. Not only getting free content, but money off other dlc stuff also. In fact my biggest problem is 1) my hard drive not big enough for everything I want and 2) i've just got to many games to play already :)
Over the last year, it does seem that finally Sony are getting their act together and I personally feel that they are right up there or even surpass Marketplace now.
 
You Euro's bitching about Deus Ex are amazing to me.
You get an excellent game in Deus Ex & we get a shitty Batman spin-off!

I am still content with the games they gave us in June.

How much space Deux Ex HR requires?

My 120GB is really getting limited. I have inFAMOUS2 waiting, and I need to start and finish Darksiders so I can download & Install the next game.

If anyone want to download and install a game and have only 10GB or less the installation process will take much more time. I'm just saying this in case somebody does not know.
 
Loved Deus Ex HR. Top 3 games of this gen. But I've already played it. Never played Missing Link though, so I'll buy that.

Hoped to get R&C All 4 One and Just Cause 2. Maybe they'll be the mid month games?

Get them all in your download list, no need to actually download them until you're ready.
 
Just this once we European customers are getting something better, or sooner, and immediately the US customers are complaining. SMH. The PSN services and offerings have always been worse here, so I'm glad we actually get something first for once. After all, DE:HR is probably coming to US PSN later on. Now you just have to wait for it a bit longer, like we usually do.

The whole system of psn + on US is broken , atleast on Europe its on properly managed.

As far as I know, if you want to download a N gb game, it will first check if you have double the space (2*N gb) available on your hard drive. This is because during install it'll keep both the download and the install I think.

But maybe you can download the game but just not install it, I'm not 100% sure.

For a change. I would trade all those E3 offerings (MS:A, Warhammer, Darksiders etc) for Just Cause 2 :^p

  1. Buy a new 2.5" laptop hard drive. Up to 500GB definitely works, may be higher now.
  2. Back up your current hard drive to a USB hard drive using the backup utility (has to be FAT32, I think).
  3. Make sure all your important saves are on the cloud just in case.

  7. After that restore your old files using the same backup utility and USB hard drive and you'll be good to go.

Do a little bit of research on HDDs. I picked up a 500gb 7200rpm with a 32mb cache. Factory speed and cache was 5400rpm and 16mb. Gives an improvement in installation time and loading on some games. Apparently, based on Eurogamers test, a full install of GT5 improves by about 25-30mins and track loading is around 10secs faster or more in some cases.

Deus EX HR has been on my to-buy list for at least half a year now and some other game always got in the way. Needless to say that I'm pretty stocked about this Plus freebie.

It was the same with Infamous 2, Motorstorm:A and Space Marine, so I couldn't be more happy with the service. At this point I may just not buy games older than half a year anymore, because they may appear on PS+ at any time.
 
Just downloaded Renegade Ops and Motorstorm Apocalypse, to add to Darksiders and Space Marine. Any idea whether the free Missing Link DLC will work with my Deus Ex disc?

I fucking love PS+. My hard drive most certainly does not.

If I download the Leon from RE4 avatar for 21p, will that make me a bad person?
 
Adding discounted DLC with the free game of the month is a good idea I think.
I just dropped the money on the DLC.
I probably would have never gotten it otherwise, have had HR since release but the DLC never appealed to me.
Speaking of which has all other DLC for HR been canceled? Surely there was originally more planed?!
