Then...who?
Wait, who the hell has said that? Doc Ock is still one of the best executed comic book villains in a long while, imo. Especially visually, Raimi nailed the tentacles look.Agreed. People who say Doc Ock's arc wasn't handled better than Connors' are just being delusional or really hate the Raimi films that much to ignore any good thing about it.
I have no expectations other than it being better than 3
So I'm almost definitely seeing this tomorrow - is there a GAF consensus? Is it any good?

I want to see this, but something about Garfield just bugs me. I can't even put my finger on it. I just can't imagine the guy as Spiderman.
He can't be any worse than Tobey was as Peter Parker right GAF? Right?

The whole notion of not being able to get what you want and learning to sacrifice your own pursuits for the greater good is a whole lot different from "blow up the city." Or in this movie's case, turn everyone into lizards
One of those plots has a theme and an emotional throughline. The other is just cartoonish.

Gwen was damn hot in SM3. I could almost understand why Peter acted like a total fucking idiot in SM3.
So you don't like having real life interaction in a movie?I felt so awkward during the scene of Peter asking Gwen out. I was like "For God's sake someone call cut! CUT CUT!"
The one thing everyone agrees on, even those who hate the movie, is that he's an excellent Peter Parker as well as Spidey.I want to see this, but something about Garfield just bugs me. I can't even put my finger on it. I just can't imagine the guy as Spiderman.

I liked that scene
The score was pretty awful, I must say. It made the film feel really, really cheap.
I guess that's what happens when James Horner actually tries to compose new music.
Oh, I like how movie was touted as 'the untold story will be revealed' except it isn't. terrible marketing
Is Pete's dad covered in Spider-Man? I just watched it the other day but I don't remember anything. His dad's role seemed all new to me.Oh, I like how movie was touted as 'the untold story will be revealed' except it isn't. terrible marketing
They don't mention his parents at all in Spider-Man 1, or any of the Raimi movies if I'm remembering correctly. Is Pete's dad covered in Spider-Man? I just watched it the other day but I don't remember anything. His dad's role seemed all new to me.
Anyone else want to know how Concerned Dad managed to free himself from his car just fine, but apparently didn't bother to get his son out?
What a great dad.
Oh wow, I completely forgot about Peter in front of the pier from one of the earlier trailers.A whole bunch of cut stuff
Yeah, def looks like they could do a Director's Cut or something
I hope to God they do
I'm convinced there were last minute changes to the origins.Oh, I like how movie was touted as 'the untold story will be revealed' except it isn't. terrible marketing
One would assume he got out of the car to see what the hell was going on and told the kid to stay or something.Anyone else want to know how Concerned Dad managed to free himself from his car just fine, but apparently didn't bother to get his son out?
