Oh yeah, I saw that thing today at Japan Expo :

I stared at it for a few minutes, but 44€... Nope.

I've been waiting for Oda to start doing this since the middle of the War Arc when all the cameo characters more than wore out their welcome. He's been pulling these same tactics since Thriller Bark and it's gotten old. I don't need to wait multiple arcs when the same things as past arcs are happening right now. Regardless all I'm doing is making a complaint about One Piece amongst the sea of praises the series gets, not giving Oda an ultimatum. Maybe things will improve and all my complaints will mean nothing and I will gladly eat crow. But that doesn't mean I can't complain in the mean time. How do you know things aren't going to go "Fishman Island" in the next two chapters and all your positive opinions about this arc will mean nothing? Why should I wait for an arc that may never happen, or for this arc to end to complain about what's going on in the series right now? Or would you rather me not complain about anything going on in the series until it's over and done with? This is why I don't even like talking about One Piece in this thread anymore. Some of you guys do not handle criticism of this series well.

This is getting no where so i only going to answer this part .
I don't mind criticism but what you are saying is making no sense to me .
Your asking for Oda not to have the arcs connected by Emperors, Shichibukai, and Admirals when it was that way for most of the manga unless you now notice it .
While the SH used fight different type of marines before all of that was only to get them notice by the WG to bring in the Admirals , VA and few others .
There has been 1 major arc since they enter the grand line that has nothing with 3 main groups of the OP world .

Any way lets agree to disagree .

I read through it, since it's a recent artbook (2011 I think) it had some GX and 5Ds in it.

EDIT : Begging for Color Walk 2 ? That's a shame. Color Walk 3 just came out here, and Color Walk 4 will be released in October.

Flaunting that French manga-swag :(

Medaka Box 25

Yukuhashi is so Shiranui... or is he?!

Is it just me or has this taken a completely different turn? It seems to be a pure battle manga now.

I will just assume... no I won't assume. I will just read it. Period.

Edit: Her brother is going to sexually harrass her. Did I just step into smutGAF by mistake?

Edit2: Oh wow, that took place on my birthday!

Hey Shonen Gaf, lets rank the weekly shonen jump manga!

Since its Thursday and I'm bored, I thought this would be a decent time waster! Just rank the Shonen Jump manga that you read. Its not a ranking based on just that latest chapter or the entire manga's run, so lets say rank it by its quality so far in 2012? (January-July).

This surely can't go horribly wrong!

1. Reborn
2. Naruto
3. Sensei no Bulge (Barrage)
4. Bleach
5. Sket Dance (at least based on the anime)
6. Kuroko (at least based on the anime)
7. Toriko (based on the anime + reading current chapters without reading the text)
8. One Piece
9. Medaka Box (based on the anime)
10. Assassination Classroom

This will end well.
As you might have been able to decipher, I fully expect this to turn out horribly! But I'm bored and enjoy evoking chaos upon others!

1. Reborn
2. Naruto
3. Sensei no Bulge (Barrage)
4. Bleach
5. Sket Dance (at least based on the anime)
6. Kuroko (at least based on the anime)
7. Toriko (based on the anime + reading current chapters without reading the text)
8. One Piece
9. Medaka Box (based on the anime)
10. Assassination Classroom

As I expected, you and I have completely opposite tastes in shonen manga. Which means I should probably pick up Assassination Classroom and avoid Barrage.

01. One Piece
02. Beelzebub
03. Medaka Box
04. Nisekoi
05. Naruto
06. Kuroko no Basket
07. Bleach
08. Koisome Momiji
09. Pajama na Kanojo

I've read the first chapter of Sensei no Bulge and Assassination Classroom but wasn't particular impressed. I may pick up Sket Dance, Gintama and Mago in the future. No interest in Toriko and Reborn.

TWGOK Volume 1-5
Finally picked it up, I've already known most of the stories from the anime but it was a nice read nonetheless. Still on Team Elsie. Mama Katsuragi is close second though.

I marathoned Sundome today - boy, was it ever a roller coaster. The best description I can think of is a mash-up between Mysterious Girlfriend X, Genshiken and Socrates. It doesn't play around with metaphors like the former two though; I swear the male MC is into masochism.

The art could use some work, but the story has this weird charm to it that kept me reading all the way to the end (which was not what I had expected, by the way).

Amato Amaro vol 1 End

I really love Natsume Ono's art style. She has a knack for drawing fine looking men. The main problem was that after the main story ended, the rest of the chapters were just bunch of short stories and after a while all the characters started looking the same. Made it very confusing to know if each chapter was a continuing story or standalone. Funny part is that even Ono herself admits to recycling characters at the end of the volume. Best part of the manga has to be the moe old guy

Right now I'm looking at Ono's other series. There is Not Simple, which I gotta read soon. Though the main thing I'm looking at is whether I should get Ristorante Paradiso + the seqel Gente or just read through House of Five Leaves. I actually enjoyed the anime of Five Leaves a lot, I'm just not sure how much it covered of the manga and if the parts not covered are worth reading.

Getenrou

I would never have predicted the direction the story would have gone in after the first chapter, but wow. That was incredible.
Lure me in with the silliness and then gut punch me with the tragedy! I had wondered if there was something going on when Kirie appeared looking the same despite it supposedly being ten years later, but I had no idea.
The ending pulled everything together so well. Ishiguro Masakazu is a genius.

1. Bleach
2. One Piece
3. Beelzebub (catching up)
4. Reborn
5. Naruto
6. ...Hunter X Hunter ;_;

This is not overall, this is what I think of and how much I'm interested in the mangas right now as of the latest chapter read.

Getenrou was biggest surprise hit for me this year. Really good stuff. I wish his other sci-fi manga were translated.
