Why not? D:

My insurance wouldn't pay anything for any of them. D:

I have the hardest time finding glasses that suit my face. There's only one shape of glasses that look good on me and they aren't in style at all right now :(

I hate this so much! I don't know why glasses aren't readily available in all styles at all times. :< For awhile they only had big black plastic ones which look silly on me, and I was nervous about breaking mine in case I needed to get new ones.

Wow. That's... ambitious... is the only word I can think of. I did enough linguistics in my undergrad degree to know it was horribly complicated and I was not smart enough.

Hmm... yeah, I wouldn't say the subject is easy, but I don't find it TOO hard. But then, I absolutely love it and so I think I probably wouldn't even notice if something was very complicated. Passion in something can make a difference.

*feels proud of his B.A. in Linguistics for like the second or third time ever*

And rightly so! Sometimes I wish I had skipped the art degree and had done a Japanese and Linguistics combo, but ah well. Hindsight.

Cookie avatar!

I made myself a steak avatar last January. Don't think I ended up using it, though.

Kill dat meat, girl.

It was such an expensive prime rib, I wasn't going to waste that meat on the bone. I can be pretty gluttonous at times.

I've never drank fancy drinks.

I can't eat meat that pink...

I actually enjoy much of my beef raw. Last light I had the most amazing beef tartare with a quail egg yolk on top from a local Japanese restaurant.

Not my pic, but this is the dish. Sooooo good!

Also, those cookies look wonderful Leeness!

I've been wanting to make a batch of these for a while. I've got a good bit of bacon fat saved up. Only problem is, I don't know where to find maple extract.

Holy shit how did I miss maple bacon cookies? That would totally appease my Canadian sweet tooth!

One day I'll try beef tartare. Don't know any good restaurants for that around here.

Crikey. I'd try it but not sure I could keep that down.

Yes yes yes!
Speaking of which, has anyone tried this pistachio liqueur?

I've been sipping it tonight and it's amazing. Like amaretto but less cloying and pistachio instead of almond.
Yes. I've had it and love it, but rarely find it.

That reminds me, at my party yesterday some friends and I were talking and we got into a "have you tried this beer/liquor/cocktail" thing and I kept going "yes.. yep... yup... yes" to the point where one of them was like "man what the hell?"

I was like "you have to understand, in my household my parents got me started drinking when I was like 7 or 8."

At that exact moment my dad walked out on the patio and overheard me saying that. His response "Come on, Aaron... I'm pretty sure you were younger than that."

I love beef, but I can't do tartare or the like. The texture throws me off. Great looking dish though.

I'm sure you'll have a ball, I just wouldn't swap places with you for all the tea in China. :)

Same! I remember drinking cream sherry with my mom while I was six. Little bits here and there, gradually adding more. I started drinking more regularly with her when I was 13, and now we're drinking buddies. I've been mixing our drinks for many years now. Would have been a bartender if it worked with my school schedule.

Man, I have this incredibly relevant pic to show you (and actually it'd make for a good avatar) but it's on my mom's PC. I'll have to swing by there and get it soon.

*shudder*
You need to put a warning on posts like this. That just came out of nowhere. I need someone to hold me

I know, it' a travesty, but they don't really seem to like beef all that much anyways.

For me, beef is my favorite meat. Closely followed by pork and lamb, then duck and veal. I'd say my diet is mostly meat and cake.

I drink a lot of beer when I go out to the pubs in Puerto Rico because its cheap. 50 cents for a 7oz bottle, a buck for a 10oz can.

The one drink i like the most is Mojito.

I don't really drink. :(

If it tastes like alcohol, I just don't enjoy it. Fruity girly drinks, I can do though.

Like Midori and Smirnoff?

Give me mine charred.

When someone orders a steak beyond medium at work, I shed a tear. Why would people want to chew on pieces of leather -_-

I like fruity, girly drinks. Hell, you'll catch me on TinyChat sipping on vodka cranberries and Shirley Temple black's rather frequently :P

I used to drink a Tokyo Tea whenever I went out with friends, but after awhile I began to abhor overbearingly sweet drinks. Now I pretty much just drink beer. :o Oregon has a ton of microbreweries so there is a lot of good stuff I can get that was made locally.

Mojitos are good. I'm a huge rum fan. Almost all the times I got a bit too drunk were when I was drinking this:

I'm also a pretty big fan of tequila and gin.

I don't really drink either. Like...once in a blue moon will I have a bellini or something.

The only drink I like is Guinness but it only tastes good in Ireland and I don't really see the point in learning to like other alcoholic drinks.

*sips her milk*

This post gave me hope for the girls out there who don't like beer yet.

I've recently gotten into whiskey. It's just so smooth and delicious. Also not using chasers after shots.
Unless it's the beer I'm drinking.

It's definitely an acquired taste. At first I would drink beer just to have a drink in my hand when out with friends, but after awhile I began to enjoy it and wish to drink it just for its own sake.

Also, the prevalence of cheap beers isn't doing it any favors.

I can't have tequila without a piece of lime...it'll just make my stomache turn
