I'm not going to say I avoid tomatoes altogether. I don't mind them as a complement food when their innate tomatoness is greatly reduce. But I cannot stand tomatoes for themselves.

How in the hell can you dislike tomatoes? They're like a main building block of several cuisines!

Tomatoes are extremely versatile and can have a strong or mild flavor depending on the type and how it was prepared!

Also, did you know that tomatoes are not meant to be refrigerated?

I actually did know that =D

They have these things called honing tomaten here (honey tomatos) they are the nicest tomatoes I ever tasted.

so true! i know so many adults who are like "i dont liiiiike onions" or broccoli, or tomatoes, or whatever. grow up and eat everything people ITS ALL GOOD.

I could understand not liking the odd vegetable here and there but when tomatoes are a main staple of all latin american and mediterranean cuisines as well as some asian ones, it seems a bit odd to hate them. But what do I know? I hate lettuce. Or rather, I find it pointless.

And for the record, onions are amazing.

you dont like lettuce!? its so inoffensive in every way. ahhh well. i understand yall have your personal tastes..i like some things more than others..but if there's ever something i really dont like, i look at it as a personal failing and try to correct it. like sushi for example..i used to think it was nasty and then i just kept trying to like it, and now i love it.

The problem with lettuce is that it doesn't soak in flavor like onions. Lettuce is just lettuce while onions are great for absorbing essences of other ingredients.

That's exactly why I find it pointless. It has almost no flavor or texture, all it does is add a bit of moisture and make you think you're being healthy. I'd say the only time I eat it is in lettuce wraps where it actually serves a purpose.

Unfortunately I can be a bit picky about certain things. I hate most cheeses and the ones I don't mind I only like in certain preparations. I'm not fond of fish or mollusks. Mushrooms taste wonderful but the texture just kills me, same with cooked egg whites. Still, I'll never understand blaming people for being picky, since they certainly don't choose to be. I'd love nothing more than to enjoy every single food so that I wouldn't have to limit myself. Unfortunately I don't think I can just "get over" my aversions since most of them literally make me gag.

I had a revelation of sorts a couple years ago to just eat everything, or try to. As a result I no longer stopped asking for no onions, or no tomatoes, food started to taste so much better. I felt healthier and happier as a result.

However now I need to get back to working out.

Tomatoes are used heavily in Indian cuisines. I love love love making Indian curry and put loads of tomatoes when I'm making the gravy for the curry.

That's why I added the "asian" addendum. I'm a huge fan of Indian food. Unfortunately there's only one (good) Indian restaurant here in Annapolis but it has an amazing buffet that I try to visit as often as I can.

I can't cook it as often as I'd like since my family is not quite as fond of the smell as I am. Personally, if they could bottle the smell of curry in a perfum I'd probably wear it. It's intoxicating.

By the way, KitsuneBaby, are you eating a Cake Pop in your photo? I just had my first one the other day and they're absolutely amazing :D

Nope, it's a lollipop. I have a serious addiction to them. In my purse right now there's probably about 5 dumdums, 2 chupa chups, and 1 blowpop. I keep them on hand for whenever I'm falling asleep in class or while driving, or when I'm just plain bored.

What flavor was your cake pop? I work at a starbucks and while I don't like the birthday cake or tiramisu flavors, the raspberry truffle cake pop is pretty freakin delicious. I know how to make them but I haven't tried it out yet.

I don't like tomatoes. Keep them out of my burgers!

My burgers are freaking loaded with tons of bacon, tomatoes, and fried onion straws. Friends say that watching me eat them is like watching a snake unhinge it's jaws.

Haha, I'm totally getting a Lollipop Chainsaw vibe from all your lollipops.

I had the tiramisu one and it was pretty good! I'm not a big fan of raspberry chocolate in anything but maybe the Cake Pop will change my mind :) I found a couple of recipies for Cake Pops and they look ridiculously easy.

Really? Raspberry and chocolate were practically made for each other. You should try the chocolate raspberry truffle cheesecake at cheesecake factory. Sooo amazing. The only other fruit I think really goes with chocolate is orange.

I'm not even sure if there's a Cheesecake Factory where I live. :( Canadians are deprived of so many good places to eat, haha.

The best Lolipop I've ever had. It's Mexican. Has a bunch of layers that go from Tamarindo to Mango to who knows what else. Different flavors and textures along the way. It's amazing.

That thing looks huge. Hopefully it's a bit smaller than it looks. It sounds really interesting, though. Maybe I can find it online.

It's definitely a mouthful.

I'll give it a try when the weather gets a bit cooler. Ordering candy online in this heat is just asking for it to melt.

Chupa Chups are my favorite brand, currently. They have a bunch of different flavors, they're creamier than most, and they're the perfect size. I love their ice cream flavor varieties.

Lollipops are nice and all, but I had cheesecake over the 4th of July, and finished it this weekend. LAWD AMIGHTY

How dare you post that right as I'm about to go to bed! Now I'll end up dreaming about it and wake up depressed since I don't have any. Then I'll buy some ingredients and make one and nobody else in my family will eat it since they don't like sweets. I'll have to eat it all and I'll get fat and it'll be all your fault! Are you happy, now?!

Damn that looks good!

Really? Because I love chocolate + strawberry and chocolate + banana.

Okay, so I'm practicing concept art for my portfolio and I need YOUR help. I need some suggestions for things to draw. Currently I am looking for ideas for:

A character
A monster
An environment

Once I see your ideas I'll decide which ones I want to work on. I won't choose any that are too ridiculous, so bear that in mind! I know this community can give me some nice ideas. :o

Currently, I'm writing about a girl who is supposed to be beautiful, but has a ton of facial scars.
