Well that was really disappointing. Actually almost even considered not even finishing the chapter when we got that extremely dumb OFF PANEL defeat of the characters all for the sake of just forcing the plot forward pointlessly with details no one cares about. It rivals Ceaser overpowered DF ability for perhaps the two worst things this arc, as well as Luffys baffling defeat. This arc just isnt resonating with me anymore and everything is just going wrong with it. Dont understand why writers choose to make the worst decisions regarding what to make happen offpanel and what to focus upon. It also doesnt make sense for his powers to be like that. I mean there is really just no way for the straw hats to beat him up close and since no one actually specializes in long range abilities, I just see no hope.

Well I guess there is hope if somehow Luffy unlocks some fourth gear and he's able to throw Haki blasts and beams, which would actually be really spectacular.

In other news, I found out the other day that Vol2 of Silver Spoon has sold a whooping 610k copies so far. How the FUCK did they manage that? For the sort of manga it is, and how new it is, that's really shocking. Arakawa must have magic drugs in the panels.

The manga sales were always good but they pick up some more after it won a Award a few months back .
Thanks to that they also did a bigger print run .

I really hope they just get to where the oneshot was at and drop the whole fake boyfriend part. It's an interesting starting premise but it shouldn't sustain it forever. Kind of like the whole mirror from Harisugawa.

Jidanbou and Rin are being controlled by Ranso Tengai variant, somehow. And i hope the person who did off Opie is Hiyori. I expect Hiyori.

Edit: It´s probably Grimmjow, the SFX that was made were the ones of Sonido not Shumpo. Hiyori is also a vizard so she can make the Sonido SFX as well.

For fuck's sake, his brother just came back from the fucking dead and told him to forgive his hometown and to realize how much Itachi loved the place. Sasuke somehow rationalized that request into "murder everyone in my hometown in your honor."

The chapter ended up showing a damn pile of rocks that looks a lot like Obito's hole. There will be no sage.

I am glad Oda upgraded Ceasar Clown, even if his explanation for having control of Oxygen is even worse than Akainu's "Magma is hotter than fire" crap. Besides his powers though, I also enjoyed Ceasar's interaction with Brown Beard and the kids. A few more scenes like that and he will be set as far as evil One Piece personalities go. Still, he needs more in terms of brute force for me to consider him a decent villain. Right now his power set is still "unconfrontational" which I had more than enough of from Moria.

That's what I mean. He wrote him true to what an idiot teenager would do with too much power. Does that make him interesting? Maybe. Does it make sense to focus on this while Naruto is fighting his battle? No.

This could have waited a few chapters. Naruto's battle really seems more important right now. I am curious as to where they are going and who they will meet though.
