The Kickstarter page also makes it seem like Mojang has promised support

The quote is like "If it is a big success and I like the hardware, then maybe."

It's presented on the Kickstarter as "IF WE GET FUNDED WE GET MINECRAFT FUCK YES"

I'm terrified of the stuttering chunk loading will cause on that CPU. Unless we're getting a 360 style gimped version.

Yeah I figured you ladies would like my original one. It's very stylish, I noticed the other day the juxtoposition of my hand near my shirt making it stand out more, with the colors around my eyes almost making me look comicbookish. I did no editing to that avatar except cropping.

it's the hair, it's working for that pic.

STALKER is janky as hell but it is a great example of emergent gameplay.

When I first played Shadows of Chernobyl, I didn't read the instructions so I didn't know what any keys did.

The first thing I did in the game was approach a door where the guy in the peephole said I could not come in with a gun out. So I just hit keys that seem like they would holster the gun and eventually one just dropped it.

I start hitting keys to pick it up, then a guy sitting at a nearby table stood up, walked over to my gun, picked it up, and walked back to the table.

And I couldn't do anything about it because he had my gun.

How emergent that is depends on what you want from your game. Reading the manual would have helped I guess, but it's not like if you were in that situation you'd stupidly drop your gun and then stare at it lying on the ground while your ineffectual hands did everything BUT pick it back up.

There little stuff from STALKER that all added up to a not very fun gameplay experience for me, but I can see how people can get enjoyment out of it.

Also, I remember now talking to you about SWTOR when it first came out, forgot to tell ya awesome OP on that thread btw!

That wasn't an example of emergent gameplay, it was just a funny thing that happened.

A good example is when I was having a mexican stand-off with bandits, a storm started, and I ducked in to a building amidst gunfire. When I turned on a light, I saw the floor lined with a bunch of tiny mutant things sleeping. A guy followed me in guns blazing, which woke up the monsters, and they killed him while I ran for my life.

lol

Seems like such a stab in the dark to me. They may well sell a few, but it isn't something I imagine will be desirable enough for them to get any significant sales from. They will probably get just bunch of half-arsed shitty games for it.

I think I want to start Nier tonight... Hm.

Will do Kari answering machine acting first lol. Not yet though...just crashing right now after work. Blah.

LOL, i love it when stuff like that happens in games.

+1

My cat says to start it also, so +2.

No I get it and that sounds great but for me all the in between parts were spent trying to decipher exactly how the game wanted me to play it. The coupled with the frame rate issues I was having (despite my rig being plenty powerful enough) and the bad gunplay (in my opinion) just made me put it down.

When it was good though, it was great fun.

Eh, I've just heard a lot of great so I'll try it. Haha.

The beginning is slow and, as a game, it probably isn't great.

But if you take some time to get in to it, you can discover something decidedly different in there.

I do warn you: Sidequests are both bullshit and depressing. They rarely have happy endings or good rewards.

Just... play it. At least put in enough time to get to Grimoire Weiss. If you don't keep playing after that, then... I don't know what to say. :O

I've been so lazy with games lately. Just haven't felt like playing any. Got a few games on PC to play (The Real Texas, Home, Lone Survivor) but just haven't even bothered starting any of them >.<

Most I've done is play a bunch of TF2 and L4D2 with friends. Oh, and I played the RE6 demo and now I want RE6.

Not gonna lie, I've read the entire Let's Play of Nier on the archive so...no big surprises there. Haha. Just looking forward to actually playing it.

Oh oh, so I had another guy do the Awkward Escape from me today haha. It's more amusing than anything anymore, it happens so often.

"I have to...go...over ...there" is an awesome way to disengage haha.

I think I enjoy turning guys off now haha.

Where the hell did this come from?

Seriously, I think you know some of the most douchiest guys ever!! I've never had a guy do that and I know a few girls that aren't very attractive but they've never had guys acting like that with them but you're quite good looking. I really don't know what to say! Its like a bizarro world where you live. :\
