Start with Demon's! I like it better than Dark. Get Dark when it comes out on PC.
Something about Demon's I just don't like. Dark Souls looks more fun to me.

Leeness, there are billions of people on this planet, so please don't let a few jerks put you off. I've been in that situation too. Hell, I'm still rather social awkward. I wonder whether or not I've done something that put people off talking to me, never quite sure what it is. But there will always be people out there that you click with, whether just friends or something more. My IRL friends number less than five. I've always had a super hard time connecting with people. But that's not my fault, just the luck of the draw. So don't give up, please.

WAT? They are VERY similar in both combat and the overall feel. The bosses in Demon's are 100x better, PvP stuff is better in Demon's, weapons are better. A lot of the area design in Dark look very very similar to Demon's. Dark is basically a sequel to Demon's. For me, the bosses make it amazing. There are some bosses that make you feel like an asshole, I don't think I've ever felt like that before playing any other game. And then there is a boss that summons you to fight for him with people playing online. You get to be a boss in a game!!
Seriously, if you think you'd like Dark you just HAVE to play Demon's!! Only reason I can think people disliking Demon is if they like open world games as opposed to hub based games.

I'll say once again in the Souls debate, Demons > Dark
Better atmosphere, level design, and most importantly framerate. But Dark's still cool. Will wait for the PC version to finish since half my enjoyment was ruined because of the console version's framerate.

I think Grass system is more lenient, you could buy as much as possible. If you always ran out of grass than I think you're gonna hate the flask! I know I missed having tons of grasses on me, especially at the start 5 is just not enough. Replenishing them revives all the enemies you kill so you're back to square one! So you have to be very very careful with saving them up and not getting hit more often. With grass you can just save up enough souls, go to the merchant and buy as much as you can and a lot of the enemies drop them too.

That's how I feel about Pennsylvania. Apologies to anyone living there who loves their state but I've had nothing but painful experiences there.
I've never been to the east coast.I really need to go sometime. One of these days when I have money AND time...
The last and only time I've been to the west coast was visiting family in Seattle when I was six. I've heard really good things about restaurants in Vancouver from friends so I'd really like to go, but I'm a somewhat poor college student with a pretty expensive hobby and I can't see it happening anytime soon.
I'd be in Pennsylvania right now actually if I hadn't decided to work instead. I don't feel like visiting family any more so I'm all alone in my house until my family gets back in 2 weeks.
Definitely, there's one outside my room right now.
Unless it's the south east or pittsburgh (i guess) it sucks.
