When should I bump the Bane reveal thread to get the crow flowing? A few weeks after it opens?
No chance this movie ends up worse than The Amazing Spiderman and The Avengers, it might not be as good as TDK since Heath Ledgers Joker will never be topped.
Suprised some of you are able to still find the Batman Blu-Rays for $10 at Best Buy, I went when they started selling them with the Spiderman Blu-rays for $10 with free movie tickets and all the Batman Blu-rays were already sold out.
Hope somebody is compiling the excel file for all the people who say Heath will never be topped and then say Bane was the best.

Not voice-wise. Definitely not voice-wise. But apparently it's been toned down for this new film. It was horrible hearing monologues from the dude in TDK tho.
Solo doesn't need protection!
But will the collection have The Dark Knight Begins?
Bale Batman > Keaton Batman
There, I said it.
No.
It will have:
- Batman Begins
- Batman Middle
- Batman Ends
Even you cant deny that "The Dark Knight" is a vastly better movie title than "Batman Begins", regardless of your stance on the actual content of the movies.

No that dude is a troll who hasn't seen the movie.
I realize that Batman isn't really about the emotional elements, that's cool
Dude, what?!
Amazing Spiderman wasn't about the emotional elements imo. Uncle Ben in the new one probably got more lines and screentime than the last but the way they handled his death....did anybody give a shit?
I imagine it was an executive's decision mainly to capture the hype from TDK.Was it Nolan or Warner Bros' decision to call the film 'The Dark Knight Rises'?

I imagine WB's only demand on this film was to have The Dark Knight in the title.

I did. I thought it was excellent and packed a punch when you factor in the scenes that preceded the death.
Obviously this is coming from someone who actually loved the film against a lot of people that did not.
I'd imagine it was WB. It's such a shitty title but I've gotten used to it.
Like I say I enjoyed Spider-Man, more so than the Avengers in fact (which had no discernable feeling of danger whatsoever)but I viewed it as a more comic book movie as opposed to TDK. The lighter tone meant that emotional connection wasn't that necessary for me to enjoy it. When Rachel died I thought 'fuck they've actually killed the love interest off'.
See I really enjoyed the film but I had no emotional connection whatsoever. When Uncle Ben died May didn't really have any reaction, Garfield's acting over Ben's body wasn't that great... Andwhen Captain Stacy died I couldnt give a shit even though I liked his character.

Be honest, Wilbury.
It was all about your fond memories of NIPPLES.
I was expecting "The Dark Knight Returns" but I guess they didn't want to confuse it with "Batman Returns". I would certain not want "The Dark Knight Forever".
Rises threw me off first but I'm used it now and it makes sense and is awesome!
Damnit. I want someone to kill the hype so I can be more hyped!![]()
Spider-man 2 was even goofier and comic-y than ASM and I thought SM2 had way more emotional value than any other comic book adaptation. So clearly we disagree there about the tone big time. For me it's not about the tone but about the writing and character development.
There was zero reason for me to care about Rachel, whereas a character like Ben was great, played wonderfully by Sheen, and left an impact on the story IMO. The tone or how comic like it is means zilch to me in the face of good writing. And TDK had excellent writing, her death scene was great, but her actual character gave me nothing to go on emotionally. I don't know if it was Maggie or the script or what, but I just did not care.

lol really what else could they have called it Batman 3.
Batman and Bane......
