Do you think they'll have the time to do it though? 2014 isn't that far away and the next movie from DC after Superman, is probably going to be Lobo. Then a Batman reboot after that.

If they want it out before Avengers 2 they could just have a Justice League movie where they team is already established. After that they could do spin-offs that focus on specific characters.

I still seriously doubt LOBO will see the light of day. Thats an R rated film, theres no way to do him pg-13, yeah you get a pass on the profanity because his alien dialect, but the violence, drugs, and sex and more violence. PG13 Last son of Czarnia would make me cringe at the thought. And if they want to bring pure Hero's to the screen Lobo isnt going to be the man for the job.

They should do Blue Beetle,Hardware, Static, Flash (wally fuckin WEST), or wonderwoman after Supes.

I don't get why all the studios think R-rated comic movies won't work. Did they forget about Blade? Yeah, it's good for your Spider-Men and Iron Men and even Batmen to be PG-13, but there's no reason we couldn't have the occasional R-rated Lobo or Deadpool or whatever.

As for the next DC movies: gotta be Flash and Wonder Woman. Maybe Aquaman after that. I have no idea what they're gonna do about Green Lantern, though, after the mess that was his movie. Gotta wait a while before going back to that well.

DC just needs generally needs to get their shit together.

Payne's PG-13 script reportedly followed Lobo as he pursued four fugitives to Earth, where he partnered with a teenaged girl to stop them. Whether any of that will remain in Peyton's rewrite is, naturally, unknown at this point.

Do it DC, do it.

Groot, Gamora, Mantis, and Cosmo are not popular enough yet but the films can make them popular. Moreover, I am fairly certain Groot and Gamora are locks based on Feige's past comments.

Ms. Marvel and SWORD is a completely separate thing and never comes up in GotG. She is an avenger and should not be near this movie. Ronan on the other hand was involved in cosmic marvel but he wasn't in the Thanos Imperative story and isn't necessary to have in most of the other cosmic stories they could adapt. I'd also argue Ronan is no more well known/popular than Groot, Gamora, Mantis, and Cosmo at the moment.
Sword and Ronan not being in GoG is exactly why i think they will be in it in some way. A GoG movie opens up a specific part of the marvel universe, but leaves a lot of things out like the Kree,Skrulls, Phalanx, etc etc

And if they are going to do Thanos Imperative, thet are probably going to have to introduce the inhumans or shiar at some point. I don't see them making a tentpole movie for a team they plan on killing off in their first movie.

That doesn't mean anything. Just because those are the characters in an upcoming tv show doesn't mean they are the characters in the film that is completely disconnected from the tv show. Also, in the comics not every Guardian goes out on every mission so even if it was an indication of something it doesn't mean there aren't others like Mantis or Cosmo just back at their HQ.
Avengers Assemble is the comic book directly meant to mirror the movie universe.

So now that it's confirmed, how do you think they'll pull off Rocket Raccoon? Animatronic? All CG? Little person with animatronic/cg head?
CG, and people will complain.

if Guardians movie is about fighting Thanos, and Avengers 2 is also about fighting Thanos, than wouldn't it make sense for Guardians to actually lose in their own movie? and I doubt they're gonna cramming Guardians character in Avengers 2 movie to fight Thanos, seems like way too many characters to juggle around considering Avengers itself is probably gonna add one or two new character themselves.

They don't need to necessarily follow the Thanos Imperative. It's so large. There is a lot of shit that happens before Nova and GoG get to that story so I would't be surprised if Thanos still plays a small part in the film

...The more I think about it there is no way they are doing Thanos Imperative unless it's drastically changed for Avenger 2

They don't need to jam all of Cosmic Marvel in one movie. If the GotG movie is successful then they can go into some of those other subjects from there in future films.

They can modify the story so that the crack in the universe is caused by something else. Change that one detail and suddenly neither of those groups are necessary in the story. They also -do- plan on doing an Inhumans movie at some point.

That isn't exactly true. It is a series that is based on the film incarnations of the characters. That does not mean that it is completely indicative of what we are going to see in future movies. It is not meant to be an exact mirror or have any direct impact on the MCU, more the other way around.

Yeah, they don't need to do Thanos Imperative at all. In fact I would love if they started with Annihilation and just wrote the GotG into that story since it really deserves the big screen treatment. I only said Thanos Imperative because that is what the rumour said. Thanos Imperative is still a great story though and they can definitely make a great film out of it. Whatever film they do make the important thing is it is an adaptation. That means it is based on the original story but doesn't need to follow it word for word. They can change characters and events, cutting and adding certain things, while still keeping the same general story. In fact, none of the MCU movies so far have been beat for beat the same as a specific comic story. If they do Thanos Imperative they already are going to have to work around not being able to use Silver Surfer and Galactus, for example...they totally can though because the story can still work with their roles cut.

Rocket Raccoon's voice actor from UMvC3 plz

AIR STRIKE SUCKA

If I hear or see a log trap on the silver screen, oh man.

Wonder woman, aqua man, and flash have always been C-list and difficult to write properties around
They all seem at least as easy to put to film as Spider-Man.

In any case, DC won't get anywhere by copying Marvel. Successful Batman and Superman reboots, then an epic BvS should be their focus.

Flash would be harder than Spider-Man because his main power is going really fast. How do you translate that to the big screen in live action? Wonder Woman would be easy as hell to adapt, but hard to get an audience without alienating one or the other sex.
