I think what my issue with this film might be is Bruce off in some remote location as a prisoner or whatever based on the trailers.

I don't really want to see that, and I don't want to see Bruce Wayne in a suit. I want to see him in a bat suit most of the film.

for what it's worth, the period you're speaking of is one of the best in the film

But does it and Bruce in a suit take too long, where him in a Bat Suit is very limited?

That's probably spoilery.

Don't answer if you know. Just a fear based on an analysis of the previous films and trailers only.

I won't spoil anything, but the amount of Batman in the film didn't feel different enough from any other Batman film to be noticeable to me. (What a weird sentence.)

BB just ended in the trilogy showing. TDK starts in half an hour. BB is definitely the better of the first two films, much more emotionally resonating than TDK. Its a much more personal film I think. Really nice to see it in Imax since Id only seen it at home before.

Oh shit, just remembered, we should be getting a Man of Steel trailer tomorrow (well not here in the UK, but I imagine it'll be up on the net following the US showings).

wathching BB and TDK back to back really brings into focus how little Bruce Wayne as a character is actually in TDK.

Revisited all of Nolan's films with week. Watched Begins and Dark Knight today. Ninety minutes until I head out for a midnight showing with some friends. I am hyped.

Holy shit that 6 minute fan-made trailer is amazing.

edit: wait, what? different one? brb watching now

edit edit: Ok, both trailers are amazing. Jesus Christ I'm way too hyped now.

Really nice to see it in Imax since Id only seen it at home before. Plus all the League of Shadows stuff has really whet my appetite for Bane to come in Rises.

The warm colours, exotic locations, and grimy/steamy/wiry Gotham sets are what make Begins so much more appealing than TDK's sterile look. I get what Nolan was going for, it's steel like, it's numbing and it's cold. But Begins is what I want from a Batman movie.

I think the trilogy trailer is a whole lot classier.

edit:

FAN MADE TRAILER RANKING FIGHT

Damnit, all this talk has made me wish I just went to the trilogy showing a few hours ago. Never seen the first two in theaters. BB isn't fresh on my mind.

FAN MADE TRAILER RANKING FIGHT

I think the Trilogy trailer does a better job at hyping the whole set of movies and presenting them as one. I think the Journey to July 20th one on the other hand does a better job at presenting the movies as the path of Bruce Wayne. Both are awesome though.

So much hype and so little time left. 22 hours

Bruce's arc does it for me. Where he starts the film (not as a boy but as the angst-ridden young adult out for revenge) to where he ends it is a wonderful transformation.

The development of Bruce Wayne in BB is intensely satisfactory. Only a little of it in TDK.

Haven't seen TDKR yet, but I really wish we had a fourth Batman taking place between BB and TDK: It would help fit the crime fighting gap/period of Batman that the introductory scene at the parking garage in TDK is supposed to convey. Just a thought.

like the TDK, I think the word of mouth is going to be insanely good with this one

Nothing else is really following it up either. Upcoming movies are Total Recall, Expendables, etc. So its easily going be able to retain those Imax screens and keep a large amount of theaters.

1 film down, 2 to go. BB is still awesome and the audience still went crazy at the Joker calling card. TDK is going to be great.
