There's still great music, more than you could ever manage to listen to, it's just that there's also more really bad music now than perhaps ever before (and that's what you'll typically hear if you turn on the radio - so don't do that). You just have to know where to find the good stuff, as it typically won't get shoved in your face as much as the bad variety.

I've never listened to top 40 in my life. There seems to have just been this time period not to long ago when mainstream music was different. Yes you can always search for good music but not too long ago you didn't have to. I find most of the music I listen to now in the most random places.

Lol comments like this make me lol so hard. I mean I understand people like different things but isn't there like a standard of good? Like no one calls chocolate icecream or thanksgiving dinner dreadful but every now and then you get this guy lol. I almost wanna say music has an effect on people and the shit being pumped out these days just puts everyone in a bad or odd mood subconsciously. Maybe it's being done on purpose.
