Hey Tragic, can you answer if we have some moves with enough invincibility frames so we can use them during combat to take no damage if timed right during the fight?
There are moves that make you hold your ground (so to speak) that have a very high threshold for being interrupted. If you time it right, an enemy that would normally interrupt you will hit you (and yes, you still take damage) but your move will still come out.
Additionally, Dash attacks benefit from the initial invulnerable frames of the dash. While there are no actual invulnerable frames on the move itself, you can always dash TOWARDS someone (smaller window than side/back) to go through an attack and THEN hit the attack button to perform the Dash attack.
Well, but that could be done just by keeping your distance, attacking at the right time and then backing up with some dashes when you know the enemy will attack, I'm more interested about moves that will allow me to stay fighting the whole time, just using it's invincible frames to dodge the incoming attacks.
This is 100% possible. You can weave in and out of enemy attacks all while keeping your combo meter going. There are also a variety of Wrath moves that can supplement your attacks when you need to take a breather (which also keep the combo meter going). The biggest element though, is being able to attack, attack, attack, dodge, attack, attack, dodge, dodge, Deathgrip, dodge, Teleport slash, attack, attack... and all have it count as one combo. Sure, you are taking a split second to dodge out of the way of an attack, but you can fluidly go right back into your attacks once it's done.
In fact, as mentioned, you can actually attack, attack, attack, (enemy attack incoming), attack, attack, DODGE FORWARD LAST SECOND (going through the attack), press Scythe or Heavy for their respective dash moves... and keep going.
Tragic, did you ever tried to play some extended sessions by using only secondary weapons?

No scythe.
You totally can, but the Scythes are just so well-rounded! Just using Heavy, for example, would prevent you from using the Cyclone Crossover (which is performed by Scythe Button to Heavy Button). This is one of the most useful moves in the game cause of the speed in which it comes out, the damage, and the hit-arc. That being said, if you WERE going to give it a try, you might want to go Melee as your secondary. They are ridiculously fast, they do a ton of damage, and you can dash/gear/wrath/reaper/horse(outside) cancel at almost any point in any attack.
I have enough faith in the game that I already preordered it few weeks ago (and it's quite rare for me, as I almost never preorder anything) but to be honest I'm a bit skeptic about the random loot thing.
Can't really say I like the idea too much, for action adventures like this.
Hopefully you'll enjoy the loot we have with predetermined stats as well. These are for killing named bosses, beating specific quests, or finding them in hidden locations. Even more important (and maybe to your liking) is the fact that you can customize possessed weapons to have the stats you want. You want something with Health on Crit? Feed that to your possessed weapon. You want something with huge strength? Feed all your strength items to your possessed weapon.
We tried to avoid having 'useless' loot. Everyone has played a game where something drops and they don't even bother to pick it up. With possessed weapons... why not pick it up? Everything you feed to the possessed weapon adds EXP to it. You can always sell it and use the money to purchase an item with specific stats just to feed it to your possessed weapon too.
The loot system is there to customize your characters play style. Not to hold you back. I would even as far to say that the gear that drops is simply there as means to upgrade your possessed weapons.
Almost EXACTLY this.
That being said... we still want players to get excited when blues and purples drop. Heck, I've been playing the game for a looooooong time, and I still get excited when a new purple drops. Why? Cause of the potential it holds... either for being an upgrade, OR having a stat on it that will juice up my next possessed weapon.
