Rare and/or expensive games you desperately want, but just can't get!

A few years ago after trying various ways to emulate it, I finally broke down and bought this:

It's not very good.

But there's other games I've desperately wanted to get, but just can't find the time/money/opportunity to actually acquire most notably...

What are some treasures that you really want, but you've resigned into just assuming you'll never have?

Luckily I have a legit Earthbound cartridge and Metroid Prime Trilogy. For the longest time I spent time looking for the Zelda Collectors Edition for the Gamecube to no avail, but after awhile I found it.

Suikoden II goes for 120€/~150$ used here.
I want to give it a try. Maybe it is now in the European PSN store? That would be another reason to buy a PS3.

Tactics Ogre LUCT Japanese Limited Edition.

Probably I'd get one on Yahoo's japanese auction page, but I can't afford it... for now :P

Probably Darius Alpha. I had a Supergrafx and all the games in the early 90s, EXCEPT Alpha. Don't see myself ever getting it since it is $1000+ now. But one day I might pick it up.

Did finally get Gunhed Special Version but that was only $200.

Marble Madness 2. This is a problem, seeing as it was never actually released, and there's ONE working machine.

Two other games that I'd love to have but I can´t because of the price ... and the space in my house.

This game really needs a digital release.

Love pinball machines but they need so much care and space.

Hey, I took that photo ;-)

My most wanted game that I haven't found yet is definitely Earthbound. That is, I've seen it for sale many times, but I want one that's complete with box and instructions, and those are very expensive. Will probably have to bite the bullet one day and go for it.

Also want Virtual Bowling for the Virtual Boy. The only VB-game I need to complete the collection. Impossible to find for a decent price.

In all seriousness, Dance Central.

Seems like a fun way to exercise, but I just can't afford and justify an Xbox, Kinect and the game when I already have a PS3 and a PC.

Note that I live in Malaysia and money conversion makes a game cost around RM130 here. Its a pity.

Big pain in the ass, I bought panzer dragoon saga, shining force 3, burning rangers, but I can't find this thing lol.

I'd like a Neogeo with Garou MOTW, all the Metal Slug games and Last Blade 2 one day. I'm sure they will only get more and more absurd in price as the years go on...oh well.

I still want Steel Battalion but I really have nowhere to put the damn thing even if I bought it and an xbox to play it on.

Seeing as we're sharing our sob stories -- I had the chance to pick up Suikoden II years ago for $25 new, but decided to pass it up because it wasn't $20. :(

Suikoden II is really it for me. There are some European special editions of Yakuza I wouldn't mind owning that are going for $125 on eBay, but they're easy to forget about.

Is Metroid Prime Trilogy really that hard to get? If it is, I'm glad I picked it up when I did.

I tried to get the Collector's Edition of Persona 1 for PSP with the OST included, but nobody was willing to ship it to England.

Also tried to get Devil Summoner for PS2 to no avail. That game is bloody rare over here.

Honestly? I've bought most of the super expensive stuff. Shantae, EarthBound, Fire Emblem Thracia 776 Deluxe Pack, Dead Space Ultimate Edition, Snatcher, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Dungeons & Dragons, etc etc.

I think the biggest one right now I want but don't have is Radiant Silvergun.

Vindicator HES (PAL version) with box and manual. I've seen it for sale one time during the last 7 years. It went for too much that i wanted to pay for it.
