This guy (the one I was "flirting with" last night) DM'd me on twitter asking for help on downloading Shame (the movie). IS HE HITTING ON ME???? :P

I'm usually the "know-it-all" kind of guy, specially with tech related stuff and have helped him with downloads in the past, so no, I don't think he was hitting on me. I just find it funny because of the subject of the film.

I DM'd him last night after meeting him asking him if he needed a ride or something, because I didn't think about asking him after I left but he didn't answer back (I don't have his phone number so that's why I used twitter).

He doesn't even know I'm gay and he'd probably kick me out the moment he finds out. This also happened the moment I came back from a shift where a bunch of my coworkers found it fun to make fun of my stutter (I have social anxiety and was forced on till by them).

I hate myself and everything going on in my life...

All of my friends are gone and I have no one to talk to, so I'm sorry if this is a bit off topic. I just need to vent a little.

Sorry to read this Yaceka, i still live at home and it can be very difficult, you seem to be dealing with it as well as could be expected surrounded by those kinds of people.

Unfortunately I have no advice, just sympathy, like i said i still live with my parents; fortunately they are extremely supportive of me, I can't begin to imagine what its like not to have that.

Hopefully you continue with your passions and that leads somewhere for you.

To keep on topic; i'd say i favour smooth, but not completely shaven, though i don't like too much hair either

Just bumped into the same guy from yesterday (and earlier today). WHAT ARE THE ODDS???

This time he was at Zara, I was on my own. I tolf him "so, we keep on bumping into each other!" We talked for a while about clothes...

He was wearing his sportswear (shorts and a shirt) he's a very active man (totally the opposite from me) so I drooled a bit over his body (after we were done talking).

Is the world trying to give me a sign or something???

By the way I added him on FB on friday night, so that's part of why I'm freaking out.

I don't have much for you (aside that your dad sounds like he has some blame/control issues, but I can't help there unfortunately), but fuck those guys. I had a bit of a stutter as a kid, and still get one when I'm really nervous/anxious, which makes confrontation very difficult for me. Honestly though, don't get down on yourself about it, you've done nothing wrong. It seems to me that the problems you currently have a based around your circumstances, and circumstances change.

As to the co-workers, I think it's fair to bring this up in a conversation with them and let them know they're being assholes (though more tactfully that I just stated it). If that's not effective, it's completely reasonable to bring a manger/boss into this situation. It's hard enough having a stutter without people pointing it out/making fun of it/finishing sentences for you.

Gosh, Lollapalooza is my favorite thing. It's a treasure trove of amazing music and attractive people not wearing a lot of clothing.
 
How many of you are not interested in stuff like shopping (for clothes), musicals, karaoke and fashion? Just curious. If you're interested in any one of those things, you're out.

Is there a reason for this question? I don't care for shopping (although I could spend hours looking at the same four shelves in a comic book store), I've never done karaoke, I don't like most pop music (although there are some notable exceptions), and I don't have much of an interest in fashion, but it doesn't bother me if people do like those things.

I rarely go out to shopping, I'm not into fashion, I haven't been listening music at all lately probably since there is nothing new that gets my attention and I need a break from listening the same thing. (I do pay attention to the lyrics)

i love shopping, i dont like musicals or karaoke, i like pop culture and fashion and i mostly listen to jpop so lol at lyrics.

Those are things that always come up when I'm meeting other gay people, but never when I meet straight people.

I'm not interested in shopping (only buy stuff when I actually have to, and usually I know what I want). I don't care for musicals. For me karaoke is limited to Singstar during parties with friends. With few exceptions I can't stand pop music. I usually pay attention to lyrics, but because English isn't my first language, there are songs where I can easily ignore lyrics and just enjoy music and vocals.

You're in! I mentioned the lyrics thing because that's often the reason why people love singing and karaoke as well.

Are these deal-breakers for you? The majority of people in the Manshion thread are straight and more obsessed about fashion than anyone I've ever seen, most people enjoy shopping when they're in a store that they enjoy, and I'm not sure what listening to lyrics has to do with anything, so I don't understand why these traits bother you.

And what do you mean by being in or out?

I don't mean anything by being in or out, lol. Just trying to figure out how many people like none of those things.

I haven't met too many straight people who are into fashion, but you have to admit that anyone who's obsessed with fashion is a bit out of the ordinary. Not saying that liking those other things is out of the ordinary, so don't take that out of context please.

Yeah, should have left the lyrics part out. Pop culture is vague as well, so I removed those from my original post.

And the shopping part, let's make that shopping for clothes. For most straight guys that's more of a necessity than fun. You could say I love shopping as well when it comes to bookstores and record stores.

I do like shopping for clothes, but that's the only thing on the list. Absolutely hate musicals.

What's wrong with musicals? I cried at the end of Moulin Rouge, La Vie Bohéme is one of my most played songs, and I was accidentally singing Can You Feel the Love Tonight? in the Vita chat. Anybody who dislikes musicals is my mortal enemy.

Ya.. I dont really like any of those. Shopping for clothes I do as quickly as possible and then GTFO.
 
IIT: people generalizing.

People like different things. Deal with it and stop judging.

I like musical. I am not obsessed with them, I don't know artists names or the lyrics of the songs, but I do enjoy a good musical every once in a while.

And some people wonder why they are alone or have no friends. Open mind and patience are philosophies. Learn and apply them.
