I'd say give up the whole FF universe or no deal. I have a feeling Marvel might just buy those rights back anyways if Galactus is in the plan for future movies.

Why would they buy the rights back if they can get SS and Galactus back in exchange for Daredevil, a much inferior character?

They can do SS and Galactus without the FF.

According to rumor and hearsay the first script was very dark, gritty and somewhat brutal, but some Fox shithead wanted a safe summer blockbuster instead.

Fuck.

For the love of fuck. No. No. No No. No. They need to make it as violent and dark and gritty as possible. Maybe slightly Nolanised but with an 19 certificate. DD is a character who has been shat on so much that it's become kinda a running joke in comics. His mother left him as a kid, his father was a violent asshole, he was bullied as a kid, his father was killed before him, he lost his eye sight, his gf died and for a comic book character stayed dead, his on/off girlfriend keeps trying to kill him, she keeps dieing and comes back to kill him, his wife killed someone and went batshit insane, one of the most productive relationships he had was with a woman he had an affair with, his secret identity is well, not so secret, have i missed anything not to spoilerific out? Also

This site has a shit tonne of info about the Man without fear and the articles are pretty on point.

Avengers 3 should be about bringing shit home and making it personal. Masters of Evil would be perfect for that.

I suppose they could, but it would just be kind of awkward.

I hope they use Galactus. Gah Lak Tus were giant robot bug ships weren't they?

Yeah and they were utter horse shit.

whats the odds of Avengers 3 being a Marvel zombies movie? couldn't they get away with half the characters they don't own movie versions of having half ripped symbols and such?

I could see it being made into a straight to dvd animated movie.

When the Marvel Cinematic Universe eventually withers away and stops making money or being popular is when they should bust out Marvel Zombies. At that point, they would theoretically be able to reclaim all their characters for cheap if they are out of favor, and could use the end of Marvel Zombies leading into an alternate universe to reboot the MCU.

That's dumb. The Marvel Cinematic Universe would benefit so much more from The Fantastic Four themselves, even just the presence of the Baxter Building in Avengers 2, or Dr. Doom. Silver Surfer and Galactus are almost useless in the film context without the rest.

as dumb as it sounds i could see the third angle exploring alternate dimensions. 2nd movie escalates things to a galactic threat. you're not gonna top that and you have to keep things daring. it may not be zombies but a fucking wasteland of some type would be epic

I wonder if that means the new Fantastic Four movies will just be just based on Earth? Without Galactus and Silver Surfer what would be the point of going into space?

I'd love for it to be a HBO series. The character has gone through so much shit Bruce Wayne would have force fed himself a bullet a long time ago. Plus he is a character that is a lawyer by day vigilante by night. He has to come to terms with the fact he is a man at conflict with his faith, his friends and his actions. He works within a system that he feels he has to work outside of. If anyone has read Bendis' run on DD you would know how perfect for TV it would be. Have any Gaffers read it or any runs of DD?

I wish that was the case too. Fantastic Four seems like a good fit for a company like Disney. Man, for Disney to have Fantastic Four and most things associated with them like Galactus and Silver Surfer...

As far as Daredevil, I hope to god Fox gets it right this time. I thought Ben Affleck made a good Matt Murdock/Daredevil but the movie itself was terrible. After DD, I'm surprised how Mark Steven Johnson got another superhero gig directing Ghost Rider, another awesome character but terrible movie.

I must confess that I only have like the first 15 issues or so (originals, even!). I liked him quite a bit in Alias, though, and his dynamic with Luke Cage is good stuff. It's a crying shame they dropped Alia's TV adaptation.

I'd read most of bendis run, and the following and next to Batman, DD is one of my favorite characters.
But yes, his life is dark. Pitch black dark, which is fitting for a blind hero/anti-hero.
The reveal that Matt Murdock was Daredevil is easily one of my favorite story arcs.

Just the thought of a Nolanish DD movie has me tipping over my computer desk with manmeat.

Hell, his senses are on par with wolverine, and his kungfu Batman level.
They did him such a disservice with the Affleck flick.
