As offensive as it probably is, and as obviously racist as the face is, I've been in LAN Houses in Brazil, and I have to say, the anger is not unwarranted.
Let me take you to a typical day in a LAN House in Goias. Probably not Sao Paulo or Rio or Curitiba, where the internet works. Here, you pray that the whole machine functions, or at the least the internet. You save your e-mails in notepad so that when you click send and the internet dies, you don't lose them all. You curse the man who runs the place because he's charging you by the second and your machine is uncooperative. And this is just technical stuff like keys missing and all.
At the computer in front of you is a fifteen year old watching a youtube video entitled "BIG BOOTIES". He's too young to find porn or the LAN House actually has filters (doubt it) that prevent him from accessing it, so Youtube videos of women in thongs will have to do for him. To your left is a man on a forum for people who like to do it on the butt. This wouldn't be a problem if he didn't have his screen all but tilted to you and he didn't keep making comments as he read it. The comments aren't so bad though, as you almost can't hear them, since to your right is a teenage girl singing (horridly) some Gospel song (temsabordemeltemsabordemeltemsabordemeeeeeel) LOUDLY even after the guy at the desk orders her to stop or he'll throw her out. You only have to worry about her, though, if you can hear her over the HORDE of 7-13 year olds behind you screaming and shrieking at the top of their lungs as they play Tibia or WoW.
I freaking LOVE Brazil, but using a LAN House there? Never again if at all avoidable.
(This is all a roundabout way of saying people who dislike gaming with Brazilians are probably playing against ten year olds anyway.)
