Atlus, Gust, and Namco Bandai talk about future titles (Atlus having surprise collab)

Atlus collab, huh...

Make it so!

YES.

Shenmue X shin megami tensei. You walk around in China, trying to tie the loose ends in shenmue then suddenly demon apocalypse happens.

Shin Megami Tensei action game collaboration with Platinum Games?

Demifiend as main character...my god.

A musou game would actually be kinda cool if done right/made to be really fast paced. An Onimusha game (RPG?) with Kaneko designs and Meguro music would be top notch stuff though.

Hatsune Miku x Persona because they are so dang determined to make the Persona series about robot girls and terrible singing, so why not just go ahead and combine the two to get it over with.

Persona series director Katsura Hasino said he is currently focused on the next numbered title. (He doesn’t mention a series, but we’re assuming he’s talking about Persona 5.) Atlus designer Shigenori Soejima has drawn sketches, and the project is steadily moving forward.

Sketches...?

How long am I gonna have to wait for Persona 5? D:

Soejima: "Ok so this one... this one is a guy. He's got a school uniform and uh... well, I mean, it's just a sketch."

Hasino: "Great, can't wait to see this fleshed out. What else do you have?"

Soejima: "This is uh... I think it was a Shadow, but it might just be a coffee stain."

Hasino: "That's... cool, that's cool, Soejima. Anything else?"

Soejima: "There's this one."

Hasino: "It's blank."

Soejima: "It's angst."

Gust used to make fighting games

Atlus makes RPG games

Namco Bandai has tons of IPs

so it's gonna be a Gundam RPG with fighting gameplay featuring Persona characters

Why is it Hasino and not Hashino? Also, what's Kazuma Kaneko doing?

They also didn't say if the collaboration project is a game. If it is, I wonder if it's a launch title for next gen. Atlus sure got on late this gen.

Sketches...?

That's just the word they chose to translate it as, and it could mean anything from "Soejima doodled some ideas and showed the rest of the crew (Everyone dresses like maids and summon their personas by cutting themselves)" to "Soejima has submitted concept designs for every character that will appear in the entire game."

Why is it Hasino and not Hashino?

Different romanization style. There's a style (that I personally dislike, but to each his own) that romanizes し as si, ち as ti, じ as zi, and つ as tu. They're pronounced the same way, though.
