Doubtful. Palin's flaw was that she was an idiot and proud of not being smart. Ryan is smarter and can make any of his ideas someone could potentially view as idiotic or crazy as palatable. He walks a fine line that even makes it hard for his home state to have an overwhelming positive or negative view of him. Palin was a better known quantity by her own state and their negative outlook eventually mirrored the country's outlook on her.

Ryan being so hard to pin down makes him a good partner for Quantum Romney.

Paul Ryan has never ran in a statewide election. Most people in the state probably have no idea who he is.

It's a fact some forget when they think Ryan will help Romney lock up Wisconsin.

Picking a white extremist when you are already losing favorability amongst moderates doesn't help your chances in the overall election. Romney has no idea what he's doing, but his Koch brother donors know what they want.

Much like Bill Clinton, Romney's failings come down to not being able to keep his Koch under control.

Watching Sarah Palin and now Paul Ryan makes me realize how good a pick Joe Biden was. He projects confidence and strength and is more than politically/socially competent. Palin was a joke and Paul Ryan just seems awkward and unprepared. Him talking right now reminds me of a high school student giving a book report.
