It probably ends up looking too much like a single object, even though it's supposed to represent multiple objects. I don't know how much you can change it and still keep the entire Brisbane aesthetic, but there is probably some way to differentiate the sun from the rest of the kangaroo, either by repositioning it or redrawing it. (Maybe sun rays would help?) Unfortunately, I'm not much of an expert here, or even really a critic.

The main score only awards one point if three judges agree within one second that a punch should score. Countback awards one point for any time a judge states that a punch should score, so it counts the more marginal situations as well, and awards more points for the punches that impress more judges.
The most annoying thing about this whole situation is that the press will just go "Oh, but they did well, Silver or Bronze is good enough, we should be happy just to be there" like always and the people will nod their heads sheepishly, while the government and the COB keep doing absolutely nothing because they're not under pressure.
