well that's you now. humans who worked their butts of for their money aren't usually the ones buying those silly things, born in to money and having everything you want since day 1? yeah then you start buying stupid shit just for the sake of it.

which is why inherited wealth, of some high percentage, should be put into work and education programs. but that's me.

Either I made up lies about the Boston Bomber or I fell for someone else's crap. Either way, I have absolutely no credibility and you should never pay any attention to anything I say, no matter what the context. Perm me if I claim to be an insider
I always wanted to leave generational wealth. But...now I think I'll just try and pay for college.

This just makes me sad. People say money doesn't make you happy but taking off the stress of finance away sure as hell would....plus lots of cool shit. :(

Social science says having more money does make you more happy (in terms of overall life satisfaction, but not necessarily daily mood) but above about $75,000 a year more money does not lead to greater life satisfaction.

That said, I still wish I had a lot of money.

Someone try to zoom in on his credit card so we can see the numbers and perpetrate identity fraud.

I MEAN, uh, don't do that. That's what I meant.

Uhh, I don't see what's so terrible about this. Most people already post pictures of ourselves partying, on vacation, and cool new things we bought. They are just doing it on a larger scale.

Sure they look like douches, but so does everyone else on instagram.

Edit- The price for that meal is fucking ridiculous though. Makes no sense.

True. But I meant:

Is there some kind of super-premium type of Belvedere that I'm unaware of, or did they just get charged an 100x markup?

There's this thing called "bottle service". It's where the club/resort/whatever charges you whatever the hell they please for bringing a bottle of your favourite beverage to your table and opening it.

Personally, I find it ridiculous that clubs around here start at something like $100 for a simple bottle of vodka, but I'm not surprised at all that clubs that cater to the stupidly rich charge in the thousands. You're not paying for the drink, you're paying for the "service", which includes the environs and the haughty exclusivity of it all.

It is what it is.

Btw, if you ever go to a club in South Beach like LIV, bottles are easy 2k for Goose. Went there last summer with my friends, one of my friend knew some very rich real estate guy, he bought everything cost him close to 10k

I like the one where they got charged over $4k for a bottle of Belvedere Vodka.

Am I missing something?

Fancy clubs typically do a huge markup if you get bottle service. Going to a club in Vegas turns a 50 dollar bottle of liquor to $500. So if you go to some super expensive place, the markup I assume is even higher.

Ah.

Ridiculous, but logical in that subculture.

Up here in Ft Murray we have the same thing, its funny seeing 20-25 year old making a 1000 dollars a day blow all of it on bottle service in the bars. One guy I worked with after our 3 week shift he actually owed money to the hotel we were staying in. (Keep in mind the hotel room and our food and transportation was all paid for by the company)

Nothing wrong with a big bill at a restaurant. Taking a pic of the receipt seems a bit gauche though.
We had an $800 food/drink tab on my friend's birthday several years ago. There was like 20 of us there. We took a picture since we were shocked it was that high. #YOLO I guess.

It's kinda crazy that there are places you spend a 100k on a meal. What cost 50k? I presume a bottle of wine or champagne?

It's the Rose Dom P. WHen you buy it at a liqure store it normally cost $600 or so, but clubs have a billion % mark up.

First 2 are caviar, next two are wine, langouste is like a Mediterranean lobster, loup is wolf though that doesn't make much sense, Evian and Badoit are water, The is tea.

But seriously! where is the logic in paying 500% mark up on a vodka bottle, just becasue you are buying it inside a night club premises?

Call me frugal or calculated, but wouldn't it be more economically sound and efficient, if you rented a nice suite at a hotel next to the said night club, got all your friends to pitch in on it and bought vodka bottles for dirt cheap from the liquor store and drank in your room then hit the club?

I don't understand how they could get this receipt.

This is the menu from the place:

http://www.nikkibeach.com/sttropez/menu.php

Pretending like #ballers order of the regular people menu..

Nikkibeach offers 3 exclusive VIP card. Gold for $250. Platinum $1500 and Black $5000 my guess is people with the top tier card get access to a exclusive restaurant. I mean lets say this place is some kind of haven for the rich they will not want to sit with slightly wealthy average joe when they eat.

This is what some people do but other people like to be the center of attention at the club and have all the women come over. You get bottle service, it is quite easy to get group of girls to come on over. Easier for some than just going up to women and asking them to go back to your room. Plus if you are super rich, the difference between 50 dollars and 500 dollars is minute.
