Fighting Games Weekly | August 13-19

Don't know why PR_Balrog got rid of Vergil that 3rd game, Should've just replaced Dante....Vergil was clearly what gave Hi I'm Nasty the most problems those first 3 games.
 
Okay. Now my favorite thing in streams is when they show commentators reading stream chat but they are trying to ignore the most offensive shit. The best part about this is, even when they are trying to play it cool, you can see it in their eyes when they see something horrible and you can match what was typed to their almost imperceptible reaction.

I like to think I'm more mature than this stream monster shit, but I won't deny sometimes the perfect mix of clever/troll still entertains the shit out of me. I still keep the chat open for that 1%.

I say this John Nelson guy needs to get his ass kicked. That's how we govt people do it too. Zero tolerance for BS when it comes to business.
 
I missed the start of the conversation, what's the deal? No KOF at revelations? I'm new to the KOF community but I'm riding for KOF in any way, shape, or form.

edit: Oh, that's some shady shit, from some dudes known for being shady...I approve of the walkout.

You do know the stream is presented by team HazMat and not TL right?

Some people are so fucking stupid. I've been saying TL been shady way before this Revelations and now a couple guys make a post on SRK everyone decide to jump on the bandwagon. Tell me what to and what not to watch.. fuck outta here.

Don't blame me the viewer blame the top players who knew TL was shady and STILL showed up to Revelations. If you want to point the finger learn who to point it at. Look at fucking Mark Man. He knew TL was shady so what did he do? He choose to go to HIN over Revelations, and he wasn't the only one. Mike Ross did as well. Kudos to Mark and Mike.


Enzo: Ricky comes up with a lot of tech for Wolv/Akuma and Wesker/Akuma. Basically 30% of Justin's shit is his tech it just he can't apply them as good as Justin.

Believe me, nobody is "bandwagoning" a boycott of Revelations. People who've followed the FGC would know that TournamentLegacy has been shady since two years ago, just that not everyone, especially new viewers, know just how scummy this tournament is. I'd venture to say that it's people like FChamp and Jwong who get bribed into promoting this shit tournament and people who support giving them views that is giving John Nelson a reason to stick around the FGC.

Are you really blaming viewers? How about the people who decided not to say anything for over a year? If everyone in that SRK thread made the exact same post last year, Revelations 2012 wouldn't have even happened.

Well, it did seem that Revelations this year was kept under the radar for the most part, and 5k viewers is far from last year's ~15k viewer mark, so in that sense the 'boycott' from last year did work since Revelations is neither on Eventhubs nor SRK front pages, nor is being promoted on twitter. It's just that viewers now should know exactly why this tournament is being blacklisted if they didn't know already. If the viewership dwindles now, the more likely Revelations 2013 won't be an issue.

A tournament's success doesn't depend on the amount viewers they get...it generally depends on the amount of entrants they receive. If this "boycott" was successful then players in the FGC wouldn't have even bothered to go to the event. The potential ad revenue they get for streaming 3 days will not make or break them.
