His acting was fucking incredible.

this was a great episode. i can't believe i forgot about it.

It was a little maddening to see Walt actually have a chance to get out and leave it, with Mike probably being the most capable 'way out' he's had yet. But he's too twisted and too far gone now; interesting to see the rational Walt is using at this point considering that the business is the reason his family is gone and it's 'all he has left'. Still, I think that and the GreyMatter explanation are genuine to Walt at least and not just more Jesse manipulation, as misguided and false as they are.

Still, it was nice to have a little retrospective feel in this episode; callbacks to an earlier time when things were much different and are interesting to compare and contrast with the characters now. I wonder if Walt will have a moment of realization before the end, when he sees how much he has tainted his original motivations and how his own flaws led him down the path; and if so, I wonder what will trigger it.

BREAKING BAD is between WOW! WOW! WUBZY! and THE BACKYARDIGANS on my DVR. Now I know why my 5 year old screams, "I'm the one who knocks!!!"

:lol

Anyone got a DL link to this week's podcast? Why does it always take 2 days to go up on Itunes? I see this week's episode is 1.40mins long. Getting longer every time. Remember when they used to be 35-40?

But are the writers of this show seriously trying to tell us that Jesse is a type of person who sees the right from wrong, (better than Walt can) get effected by it, is a deep thinker when everyone else around him is stressed and arguing and comes up with clever ideas, but yet he can't simply have dinner with Walter and his wife without acting like a 12 year old handicapped child?

That dinner scene was a bit over the top and waaay too (comical) over acted by Jessie. You think by now he'll learn how to keep his composure and be cool. It's just Mrs. White for fuck sake.

I didn't really find it all that overacted. I pretty much made the same face as I watched that scene.

It's clear Walt sees it as a betrayal but Gretchen didn't. Remember how shocked she was when she found out Walt saw it that way.

I thought it was overplayed a bit for comedic effect. Wouldn't have it any other way though, it was hilarious.
