Now the game is starting to look different from Turn10 Forza's. Its looking like NFS lol.

I wish MS would just stop trying to fuck us over, and call the LCE for what it is: the full version of the game at a falsely-inflated price. At the same time the 'standard' full-price retail version should be renamed "Horizon Lite" with a clear indication on the box that the game inside is incomplete due to some of the most desired content being stripped out so that it can be sold back to us for another 30% or so on top of what we have already paid for what we thought was the full game.

In next week's episode: how Satan himself came up with the genius idea of holding back assets from a finished game and then periodically drip-feeding them to us in nice neat DLC bundles that end up stealthily doubling the real cost of the game, but doing it in such a clever way that people seem pleased and excited to be ass-fucked via their wallets every month, actually thinking that the publisher is doing them a favour during the process.

Don't forget pre-order exclusives that are retailer-specific, but are bound to get announced as a singular pack down the track... screwing over the people who paid extra for the game as a preorder when they basically double-up on said preorder car in the first place.

Oh man. Don't get me started...

Oh man. Don't get me started...

Since my annual Live is expiring on September 21, I finally decided to skip the LCE for the first time in my Forza history and opt for SE in favour of additional 3-months Live.

It has really become unbearable to support such praxis and I will officially stop it with the Horizon.

This will also be my first year where I will not buy a full annual subscription, but 3-months only.

Also im hoping we dont get the whole No Porsche again from EA, having a Ruf in that VIP pack instead of Porsche make me think this could be the case again and all the rumor about Forza getting a longer license deal were just rumors.

Have no fears Paladin, you will get the Porsches. As DLC for 20$ with all new 10 events to play for the cost of 1/3 of the complete game once the EA deflates its NFSMW marketing-wagon (somewhere in Jan/Feb 2013 I presume, judging by FM4 model).

Moneyhatting 101™

I dont get the hate for the LCE edition, in my opinion they are awesome with the metalic case, in this case this edition doesnt seem so good all the LCE editions of Forza Motorsport have been awesome with the keychage/flashdrive and both books and nicer box, the cars are bonus over that.

At times i think the Forza fans are way too much a downers (while GT ones are overpositive). Yes exclusive retailer pre-order sucks but LCE? i think it worth the extra 20 usd if you are a big fan of Forza.

About Porsche, it suck if is true and its EA´s fault, i wont buy their game again if Porsche are blocked from Forza. BTW i dont think Porsche expansion sold much to justify another, they sold 40k at most, remove the cost of marketing and licensing and the EA´s share, i donk they got much money if any for the whole expansion. I watch the rival events during the launch and the one with most users had only 25k after the end of the month, so i dont think they sold more than 40k which is only 800.000 usd assuming all were 20 usd clients which is not the case.

you are deluded, its just that forza fans have a lot more to complain about

Doesn't Pro Street have a more blue-ish, desaturated look?

i meant more of the vibe i get from the game

dont forget you are paying for the online service too, got to love MS!

Of course.

Yeah, "of course". Until they run out of time to have the game ready for the next Xbox launch. Then they cut features, old engines are used again and weather gets cut again, because their statistics have shown that only 5% of the users actually like weather.

true, still makes me laugh at how the first forza game has the best features out of all of them

Yeah, "of course". Until they run out of time to have the game ready for the next Xbox launch. Then they cut features, use their old engine and weather gets cut again, because their statistics have shown that only 5% of the users actually like weather.

If this happens Horizon was the last Forza game I ever bought. They can't do this - it just makes sense to use tech they create to use in the next game.

Nope. Turn 10 can't make excuses this time. They would need to put out a graphical feature to make Xbox 360 gamers take the jump to Durango.

Because Forza 4 already has 60FPS, Sunny Weather, 16 car races, and Car Porn covered

LOL, while GT is perfect and us the fans dont have anything to complain about.

I have read you here and meet you in Forza Central friend, whatever you say, you love to troll this game and you dont ever have a good comment without having to point out a bad thing (or five)

if you have seen my posts in the GT thread you wouldnt say that lol

and i think t10 are turning their back on the sim fans, all they care about it money now with the top gear shit and and gimmicks like the warthog, what us TRUE forza fans want is more fucking tracks but the top gear 12 year olds arent interested in that so t10 dont give a shit

Dont worry, i know you are a extreme downer more than an actual troll, you always see the 10% wrong over the 90% good.

Also i dont think you understand Forza if you make such statement, all the Forza´s sequels are the evolution of the first idea, they are NOT leavign sim fans behind, simply they never been the focus and sim fans always want to think they are.

First Turn10 build the foundation, aka the physics, first car roaster, damage, online, customization, etc, but if you read the interviews and listen Dan´s vision of the game you would know he´s always wanting a community behing the game, compoused by lots of different types of people, from drivers, to painters, to drifters to musclecar lovers, etc.

As for the tracks, yes we want them but doesnt seem like they sell good enough to launch them over a car pack and they divide the online into the ones with the track and those who doesnt have it.

the first forza was a very great sim and i know dan wanted more things for a community but you say it evolved..it also lost features on the way..such as night racing, point to point racing and AI training

also GT release track packs, because thats what the fans want, t10 dont seem to even care they just want the most money they can get

Jesus Christ, the cars are NOT a fucking bonus - they should be in the fucking normal-priced game in the first place. You don't really believe that those LCE cars have been specially created as a thank you to the people buying the LCE, do you? They've been cherry-picked as some of the most desirable cars from the final game and only included in the more expensive version of the game so that you HAVE to pay another 40% if you want your fucking game to be fucking complete.

If people want to pay extra for a tin case, key ring and stickers then fine, absolutely fine. A lot of people like that. But to blackmail fans of the game into paying a LOT more money, just so they can have the complete version of the retail release? That's BULLSHIT, and must be stopped.

Microsoft (and other guilty devs and publishers) must be laughing their asses off, thinking we're complete fucking idiots to put up with this shit. It's a fucking nasty, nasty practise.

Seeing how GT sells gangbusters, I would understand Turn 10's desire to make more money. That way we will have properly funded games in the future. It's just how business works.

and paying for xbox live isnt? this stuff goes on all the time and yet they get away with it because for some reason people are willing to pay it, MS controls you all!

Pre order bonuses and season passes to most extend are really terrible. Sadly it seems to work, but I am guilty in that regard too.

I wonder how much it would have cost you if you bought most of the DLC cars ala carte? 2-3 bucks each, aint' cheap.

Oh and don't forget tokens. Pay more real money for fake money to buy the cars you just bought but can't afford to buy even after you just bought them.

Wait, what?

I see the many of the people complaining about DLC and LE versions are the same ones that continue to buy LE versions and DLC. I've been tempted to buy Horizon but I need solid details about the gameplay before committing.

FWIW, I agree 100% with Mascot. After buying the LE version of FM4 I'm yet to buy a single DLC pack. I used the money I would have spent on Xbox Live Gold and Forza 4 to buy games during Steam sales and other racing sims.

Good, you are completely ignoring the change of hardware, GT3 lost around 400 cars, GT5 lost several tracks and they didnt lost 700 cars because the just shoved them into the next generation.

Turn10 hired as many people as they could during the Forza 2 making and you are forgeting how many things we gain with the new game, like i said before, you only see the 10% wrong and forget the 90% good, you dont mention the 60 Fps, Lamborghini, new tracks, better 3d models, better sound, way better physics.

Night wasnt possible at solid 60 fps in this hardware, point to point events have returned, and the Drivatar traning, do you really think was a good feature? i think not.

Cant say i mind, im always going to buy the LCE version of my favorite game, some of the cars will be exclusive for the LCE anyways, all the developers do this. Pre-order exclusive and retail specific are BS in my book.

Cars included in the previous version base as LCE-exclusive cars?

Get the fuck out of here with that nonsense.

Gonna skip out on this game I think. I'll pick it up on the cheap later.

So far the game doesn't sound like a day 1 for me either, need more actual real gameplay footage and less red rock looking PROSTREET empty roads.

The best car revealed so far! Is this included with the game or do I need Limited?

1985 Ford RS200 Evolution — Unlocking the power of this Group B homologation model requires attention to throttle modulation and choosing the right line. Beyond that the RS200 Evolution will do the rest with its high tech all-wheel drive system and cagey, tenacious grip. Its marked race history and uncommon looks make a bold statement.

GT lost cars but not night racing and other important features for a sim. and yes of course 60fps was a great edition, but first off forza 2 had LESS tracks than 1, the models were the same as 1 just with slightly more polys. i dont think you remember how bad forza 2 models were. better sound yes but physics is arguable as the cars over steered way too easily in forza 2

I'm pretty much in the same boat. Bought the LE but have also bought (or been given a code for) most of the packs/"subscription" but just haven't gotten my money's worth out of them. Not only will I not be preordering Horizon LE, but probably won't even pick up the regular version until the usual 1-month bomba that happens with majority of games. If that.

There's too much shit coming out in the next few months that I know won't nickel-and-dime me to death (or wilfully withdraw content as a way of incentivising buying the LE when said content will get released later anyway), such as F1 2012, GP Stars, Sega All-Stars 2, the MASSIVE amount of PC sims around the corner... too much to list. Sure, it has some Codies and Bizarre guys behind it, but until I can buy a game from them that has everything included in a single fucking package from day one (DLC down the track is fine, but not right away) then T10 nor Playground will get my money.
