don't know how you guys can hate on users just promoting what they are doing. this thread is made for that. you are welcome to ignore it but don't give them shit for it. although its usually a good idea to interact with the community so they are more open to click your links.

I always looked at this thread as more of a library of sorts or maybe a portal, but not some advertisement. I guess it can serve both purposes.

Like I said $100 straight up whoever thinks Yipes can take him on long small or universe sized sets.

Also, they were downplaying his shit bro..one of them was going on about how Chris can't even make top 8 unless he uses his morg team...like please son.

Hope this shit goes down because I wonder what they will claim next..chrisg uses performance enhancing drugs maybe? Lol

Edit: No hate on the house of crack if you look back old marvel thread I was the first one to post about bums streams..however I really want to see it go down because I believe they are flat out wrong in this regard.
 
Don't underestimate the atmosphere like Ray Ray vs Fanatiq.

Yipes vs Chris G at both of their best is obvious Chris G wins. However Yipes vs Chris G with 100 guys screaming profanity and basically close to the point where their saliva lands on Chris G... I don't know.

Didn't Yipes get bodied for free by F Champ in their long set at the FGTV? F Champ was so frustrated by Yipes's refusal to change his tactics that he called him nothing more than a better CJ.
 
Anyone else notice Chris G using Morrigan almost as a rush down character at WNF this week? In one of his matches against a Zero team, I swear he was moving forward with her more often than not. His understanding of Morrigan has to be higher than anyone else right now, she's a great character at that level.

when winning at tournaments is what really matters then it doesn't matter if he is good in a long set. its like brazil losing a world cup match and then saying if the game was twice as long and nothing was at stake then they would have won.
 
I gotta agree. As long as there is something at stake and not just casuals, I'd put my money on Chris G over Yipes short or long set any day of the week.

He's learned the timing/spacing on when to just push with her - taking a large amount of life off with a combo makes his job easier.

It's also because in certain matchups (Ammy comes to mind) he knows he can't zone with her and will aggressively move in on the opponent because he knows he can't zone effectively.
 
Ultrachen has been taking a break for the summer (they deserve it!) and Tasty Steve got a new job so its hard for him to come out. I've been taking a break as well directing the runback stream since work is super busy for me this time of year. Most will be back when the fall season starts, but commentary is tricky since Ultrachen can only go 1 night a week. While the KOF/P4A communities will be covered for the most part, I will have to figure out commentary for UMVC3. Killer Kai, Combo, and Mike are there, but they don't like to stay on the mic all night. I will probably be lurking here as usually when the fall season starts.

Ultradavid did mention on twitter that a lot of people are requesting him to come commentate at their events but with work picking up he needs some time to relax.

No clue, unless he has some evil clone of him i've fought that same color scheme and highly similar name. Most of the Ranked fight's I've done at this point have been on 0 or 1 bar connections. Most of the time the matches are smooth as fuck anyways.

Oh yeah okay that shit early on was nonsense. People tryna act like Chris G wasn't murking fools before with his Vanilla team was nonsense. He was definitely a problem. This was made worse cause no one else there could name people who were consistently beating him (which, at the time, was pretty much only MastaCJ and MarlinPie and it wasn't very dominant).

FChamp was frustrated that Yipes WOULDN'T play him in a long set and kept dodging him. And when they would play, Yipes wouldn't take it seriously, which frustrated Champ cause he wanted to play Yipes at his best. This was before EVO when Yipes was mainly there just to feed off of the Japanese.
 
Guys, knowledge of fighting games and fighting games communities just got me a position as a research assistant in a perception lab. Fighting games are helping me graduate from college!

Pretty slow friday night. Was expected some stuff with the half dozen major events going on this weekend. The calm before the storm, I guess the big stuff begins tomorrow.
