Origin: EA Mega Sale going on now... KOA $16/BF3 $16/ME3 $16 and more.

Mass Effect 3 is still too much, and so is Dragon Age 2.

Like $10 combined.

Also, Battlefield Premium isn't on sale so don't care.

Just a warning, if you guys buy these games, don't post on EA forums. - Not worth the trouble of finding yourself banned. (from your games, including sp - that rps article ringing a few bells).

Why would you get banned for buying these games with the discount and posting on the forums?

As usual with Origin, countries outside the US don't exist when sales are on. Just one of the reasons it will never be a decent digital distribution service.

I meant for those newly attracted to Origin through these deals and then wanting to check out the EA forums. It is best to stay clear as it has been reported on that it is way too easy to lose access to your games when posting there.

This is from a little less than a year ago:

As long as you're not a total jerk, i dont see why EA would ban you. And i thought i heard something about how they were less severe recently after too many complaints, or did i imagine this?

Sorry EA. Still not, and will never be interested in a platform that you develop. If you want my money you'll either have to sell your products on Steam or DRM free.

They've said they're not going to ban from games for forum infractions, but people have been since. It's rather nebulous at this point. Just keep a polite manner on the EA forum, like any, and you should be fine. Just don't actively post if you don't have to, to be on the safe side.

That said, will wait for ME3 to drop to around the same price I grabbed the first two at, $3-7.

There were rumblings not long ago that EA is no longer manufacturing retail copies of Kingdoms of Amalur, so, if true, this may very well be one of the last opportunities to grab it at a reduced price.

Bit on KoA, was really hoping the new Battlefield 3 Premium combo was in this as I'm trying to get my friend to snag it. Love BF3 so much and premium is so worth ti. Game is too addicting.

They banned someone's account for quoting someone who said "e-peen".
Although the BF3 forums and comments have been worse than Gamefaqs the times I've checked them. And I haven't heard of any shenanigans for a long while. Still, there might be a risk if you for some reason want to post there.

For reasons such as this, I'd only consider buying something on Origin if it was severely cheap. Which is rarely the case anyway, since most sales tend to not be available in Europe. Like this one.

Origin's regular prices are at least 20% higher than retail and Steam in Sweden.
499:- vs 399:- and 415:-(€50).
They want 549:- for the their day one/F2P DLC editions.
Sim City Digital Deluxe is 699:- :D
That's $106.
I don't know what they're doing, it's just stupid.

Anyone that had success with this mind sharing what proxy they used? (if its a public one that is).

Still haven't been able to get it to work.

Came within an inch of getting BF3, but forced Origin and two expansions at a total of $30... meh. Not interested in spending $46 to use Origin and play a more SUPER REAL SO HARDCORE BRO version of a better game. I put 30 hours into the 360 version and it was 30 hours that I'd have better spent in Bad Company 2. Not making that mistake again on a different platform.

Is ME3 worth $16 or just wait for a cheaper price since I have waited this long already? I loved the Mass Effect series but I hate what EA does to PC gamers so I was avoiding it out of principle until it was cheap.

Nope, neither in the client nor my browser. Where is it supposed to be?

Edit: Ah, I need to use a proxy?

On the main page... which seems to have updated since I posted, with a giant banner and all the applicable discounts. Suffice it to say that Origin Swisscheeseland misses out.

And, yeah, the aforementioned (free) VPN services should work.

Can I just use my card when using a VPN from the UK? I tried with Paypal, says order being processed, but my money hasn't been taken yet. Got no email from paypal or anything.
