Not really. But its one of my favorite lines in gaming. Such a badass line.
Hopefully Lightning would say something equally badass in...whatever this is supposed to be. I hope its an action game instead of a RPG for some reason. Watching some of those Revengeance videos makes me wonder...what if that was Lightning doing all that badass stuff in an action game. FFXIII-3: Revengeance. I'd day one it. I would take a vacation week to play it.

Things that will never happen: the reveal trailer is all the usual dramatic music, and then suddenly: "Teleportation, or the ability to transport a person or object instantly from one place to another..." and they use the plot as a lame excuse to bring an electronic artist on board.

Hey this could be a good idea, instead of a FF XIII-3 they could make a movie if they want to continue the story, but I doubt SE would be interested.
Or maybe a spin-off game that continues Lightning's story but it plays totally different from FF XIII.

This was my guess exactly. Which as some have said could simply hit at a more tactical game (as those games are in XII's DNA). Though I do think both XIII games were already pretty tactics oriented.

I love how they have all sorts of different names while referring to the upcoming announcement. The event is listed as "Lightning Saga" on the FF 25th Anniversary Event homepage. The Niconico Livestream page calls it XIII Project. The Twitter they just launched is called Lightning Room, and the profile refers to the announcement as "a new Lightning game". It's all so deep.

They already had weather modification systems in FFXIII and FFXIII-2, so I don't see why not.
