Fighting Games Weekly | August 27 - September 2

Apparently KOF players wanted to play it as well. It makes sense as there is little cross over between SF4 and P4A in the brackets at the moment.
i like watching kof but i really hope they don't split the stream time 3 ways. let persona and kof alternate every week and i hope they show marvel every week. hmm champ said those that entered the fgtv online tournament that got canceled would get the money back and my bank statement says i was charged. i'll wait and see if i get the money back.

How much are we talking?

Too bad. They were so cute together.

I'm going to be playing around with how much time I allot for P4A/KOFXIII/UMVC3. Right now the Top3 of P4A and KOFXIII are pretty much the same every week so I want to try to focus on the middle bracket matches that have more blowups. I'll be checking the feedback here.

Are those straps adjustable?

I have the VLX and that bag and the answer is no. To be honest, I don't like the VLX bag. You still have to carry it around just like how you see it in that picture, like a suitcase. I thought I could wear it around my back like a backpack, but it doesn't work that way. After 2 trips to local tournaments, I abandoned the idea of bringing my VLX to tournaments because it was a pain in the ass to lug around and I was always in fear of it being damaged or stolen. It's my favorite stick but because of those reasons and I don't like playing with it on my lap(I much prefer a table for the VLX), I probably won't bring it to tournaments anymore. Instead my Qanba Q4 RAF is my go to stick.

I think this will be a good time to "try" and implement a stream schedule, personally these 3 games are my favorites to watch during streams so I know it will be challenging to please the viewers if all 3 games are going on at the same time.

Also starting at 8pm would probably help add some more stream time.

LMAO @ this Aftershock trailer:

CJShowstopper: "THIS TIME IS OUR TIME!!!!"

HonzoGonze: "We can just random select and still win... it's going to be an OCV. Even CJShowstopper could OCV them honestly"

Calling it now

Honzo Gonzo, X-Ray, CJ Show Stopper, K-Beast, GC Yoshi, all get booped by either Killer Kai or Richard N.

Drew Grimey, Pad Trick is going to do good, and of course Champ takes it home for NorCal.

Eh, I think Ray and KBeast have had their share of Zero experience. The rest, I'm not so sure about.

Please don't tell me it's from Chrisis because they are screwed if it's him. It's not that he's bad it just his style is completely different.
There's a local Zero player who pretty much played exactly like all the other Zero players, so Ray does have THAT experience (probably not on the level of KillerKai and Richard, but at least he has an understanding). Plus, Ray has actually been playing Zero since uh, post-Evo, and Kbeast has been coming around for locals so they tend to play each other a lot.

...and rereading my argument clearly shows my bias for NorCal. :(

That's a lot of shit talking from 7 guys who are depending on one guy to beat the other team.
If I had a team where I knew one guy could beat the rest of them hands down, I would totally commence the shit-talking too. :P

Doesn't seem like an unreasonable prediction especially since Fchamp said something similar too. There are very few good Zeros in Norcal, I think it's mostly just Wingzero and Chrisis.

Didn't Marn get absolutely bodied for free by CJShowStopper just recently? These guys will be fine against Zero.

It's Zero anyway, beating on Zero players to show consistently and body people easily is a foolish thing to do.

Marn was high and drunk and lost 3-2 in tournament, and then got bodied like 10-3 or something in the FT10. CJ was 100% sober from what I recall, and Marn has a tendency to lose like 2-2 or 3-2 at TRB and probably won't be on the team. Killer Kai bodied all of FGTV except for Drew, Champ, Shady, and PR Balrog. Richard beat Yoshi 3-1 when he was still learning Zero....

WOT CJ > MARN?

SoCal seems to be all about dat Spencer, too. I can't think of anyone in NorCal that uses him.

I would pick marn. Always performs in a Team setting and is random enough to have a big win out of nowhere. Solid players are also more predictable.

My picks for Socal 8 (Justin is apparently banned cuz he is EC):

Combofiend
Fanatiq
Infrit
Knives
KillerKai
Viscant
Clockwork
Richard Nguyen

Apparently San Diego counts as Socal.

God, that would take NorCal for free. I'm conflicted on who to cheer for because I'm from SoCal, but live in NorCal now. Ugh.

If Marn spent the week leading up to the event clean and sober, then I would say he could clean house.

EDIT: Oh, he's ineligible too? Never mind.

Norcal has Fchamp though and it's Waseda style. Honestly it's 2/3 and if Fchamp gets unlucky in two games Socal could win this.

I am really hyped though for this event. I love rivalries.

Diosx would be a great pick too if one of the 8 can't make it.

Didn't Marn go 1 and 4 at the last seasons beatings east vs west?

2 and 3 losing to Yipes, marlinpie and flocker (who was running a train). Beat noel brown and pr balrog.

Under this format, who better to take on champ? He is the type to do it.

Although may be academic as above if he can't be picked.
