Amazon Labor Day Sale for PC DD through 9/9 (Non US Buyers Read OP)

Are the shaun white games any good?

I don't know for playing, but I think the skateboarding one is grimy as hell.

The story involves "shoving it to them corporate pigs by skating yeah!" and then when you clear an area of all the corporate run advertising, it gets replaced with...advertising for Stride gum! Because don't sell out to THE MAN, chew some stride and stay off the radar!

I just think it's kind of fucked for the games story to talk about "Fuck the money hungry men up top!" then cover the world in Stride advertisements.

How is Mass Effect 3 on the PC? I'll be honest - I got my PC shortly after ME3 came out (which I bought on 360). I popped in the game and it was so blurry and low-res and choppy... DAMMIT PC HAS RUINED 360 FOR ME.

So I see ME3 for PC for $16...

Aside from no controller support, it's a good port, looks great and runs flawless.

How did I never know this existed?

A remake of the NES Classic.

Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg?

What? I never even knew this was released on the PC. I feel it must be horribly broken to have never heard this before. Yet, for 2.50, I doubt I'll be able to resist seeing just how badly for myself.

Some awesome deals there! Very glad you skipped over those "Random deals" Tony posted (no offense Tony, but no one cares about those games) as they made the list pretty unwieldy. I'm also wondering if you could maybe format the list a bit, like skipping the line breaks between Paradox games and making headlines (publisher names) bold?

I bought two games, redeemed the codes. All OK. Then I purchased Syndicate and the processing took several minutes. When I clicked on the order appeared to me a message that said that it would take even 5 hours to process the purchase. Now (after 1 hour) my order list is empty, my billing information and address are disappeared. If I click on the order # in the mail the order page doesn't load. I do not know what to do since I used a fake address because I do not live in the USA.

So you're saying the info you gave might not have matched the card if they did a fraud check.

A friend and a guide told me to use one. The address and the card must match? The first order was successful and money has been deducted from the credit card.

I would have bought kingdoms of amalur if I could redeem on steam :( sorry tony, it's not your fault. I will just forget that I own games lf they aren't on steam. ( it has happened at least 5 times)

Add as a non-Steam game?

It takes roughly 6 seconds. :|

Yes but what If I reformat or go on a different computer do my nonsteam games still show up? How would you go about downloading and installing? Keep in mind if I wasn't playing darksiders 2, gw2, dark souls and have prebought borderlands 2 then I would probably snag it for that cheap. By the time I want to play it though i will have forgotten :(

For people who say this:
Sometimes (most of the time) I buy games and don't immediately install them. I'll install them when I actually want to play them. So it's nice that I can just check my Steam list and see what options I have. If they're not on Steam I'll probably just forget.

Also, what about OS reinstalls? Keeping track of purchases on other services just gets complicated after a while.

Man this sounds scary. i had about 10 successful purchases on Amazon US, but everytime I fear that something like that will happen. I was about to buy something but now I just don't know if that risk is worth it..

...

If they call the bank to verify your address, and sometimes a merchant will do that, it could look like fraud.

The majority of time they don't, but you also did what looks like classic fraud behavior. Make a purchase. Did it work? KEEP GOING.

It's even worse "looking" if your first purchases cost less than the subsequent ones.

The next question is, of course, is it a US Bank that your card is through. If it's not, do they do business in the US.

Etc etc.

It's a prepaid rechargeable card that use VISA/VISA Electron. I didn't want to cause so many troubles.

Even so, KoA:R redeems on Origin. It's not any harder to toggle launch on startup on Origin or click on its library page either. >_>

I'm interested in Crusader Kings II from one of the Paradox bundles.
Anyone got an extra key and wants to sell it to me? PM me.
Just checking before I get the whole thing.

Anyone interested in Spec Ops for $12? If someone buys the Desert to Sea bundle I will pay you $8 for the two Bioshock games.

I want to do a giveaway so I wish they'd put the 1C bundle out there.

What is everyone's opinion of the Paradox bundle? I realize the value they're purporting, but are people really interested in these games? I don't play strategy games so it's not likely I'd be able to get much out of them.

Amazon Tony: You know if you guys are ever putting Avatar: The Game back on sale? I know it was on sale for 5 dollars a year or so ago, but I was convinced Steam would eventually put it on sale. At this point, I'm just hoping it reappears on Amazon one day.

So far on that list I'm penciled in for Billy Hatcher and Condemned: Criminal Origins. That's a fine sale you guys have assembled.

If you're not a strategy fan, don't even bother.

ooo Kingdoms of Amalur: for $16? i might have to buy it...

You may be tempting fate otherwise (from the Origin sale thread):

There were rumblings not long ago that EA is no longer manufacturing retail copies of Kingdoms of Amalur, so, if true, this may very well be one of the last opportunities to grab it at a reduced price.

Again, if true, I assume it was done in part to stockpile PC keys for digital copies.

Is that the same game as the one for Amiga?

Indeed it is. The only things I don't like about this update are the controls which aren't customizable and mouse based and the way you take forts has been changed, also no online which would have been amazing. Anyway, there's a 30 minute trial if you wanna give it a go.

What do people think of syndicate? Is it worth 10$?

If you have friends to play with it is, but the single player is pretty shittastic.

I'd say so. Pretty cool looking cyberpunk world.

Though co-op is closer to some guaranteed fun if you can get some friends to play with. Single-player is mediocre.

edit: yeah, what Mackenzie 92 said :P

I think I paid $15 for it, and the single player wasn't quite worth that+time. $10 is a worthwhile price (and apparently fully worth it if you do co-op).

Any opinions on the KoA DLC? I bought the base game but I vaguely remember reading that one of the two DLCs wasn't good.

What the hell, Supreme Commander was $3.75 this morning. I get home to buy it and the expansion pack and now it's double the price?

I love the sales Tony but sadly I'm strapped for cash right this minute (until sept) and most of these deals and packs contain games I already own. I would love some of the games in pack deals to have individual sales on them of some degree.

I would have bit on DKS so goddamn hard, if it wasn't on sale on steam the other day. You took too long! Also the game of thrones games are pretty much at the edge of my interest. 10$ for genesis? Hnnggg but poor

Please do some deep dirt cheapo deals on any of these?

Stronghold 3
Settlers 7 Gold
Anno 2070
Disciples 3 (both ones)
Risen 2
Confrontation
HOMM 6
King Arthur 2
dark souls
Dungeons
Skyrim
Legends of Pegasus

Bah. I've tried everything I can think of and still can't fix the black screen for Spec Ops. What a waste of money. Too bad I can't get a refund since I already sold off the Bioshock codes. >_>
