Fighting Games Weekly | August 27 - September 2

Great set. Haitani is probably my favourite overall fighting game player, but there's no doubt V-Ryu is the best Makoto around, and has been since Super dropped tbh. In terms of knowledge of the character and knowledge of every matchup he's on another level. It's a real shame alot of Europe's best never make it out to Evo.

I wouldn't say that for sure, both are really great players, but it's too hard to rate one over the other because we hardly see t hem. Haitani has been to a few international tourney's, he was top 8 at Shadowloo Showdown 2011 and tied for 9th at EVO 2012. Both as you should know were extremely stacked tournaments. As far as I'm aware, VRyu has never traveled outside of Europe for a tournament. He's had chances to face the likes of Poongko, Gamerbee, and Tokido when they attended European tournaments and have come up short each time. Basically both guys are extremely good, I just don't think their is a clear cut best Mak right now.

That's fair. I say it partly because he's the Makoto scientist, in that every time there's new Mak tech it's on his youtube page, and he seems to have a ridiculous number of cross-up set-ups, whether universal or character specific. Haitani does adapt to opponents quicker though and I'd say goes with the flow better than V-Ryu, who in the past starts sets off abit more cautious than someone with his talent should. Was different today though, more aggressive from the off, prepared to risk whiffing karakusas etc.

Anyone know when the next major is?

Season's Beatings: Ascension: They have the US vs World 5v5 and Mad KOF, Infiltration, and Laugh are all confirmed so far. I hear that some top Japanese Persona 4 players might come to, or maybe that was NEC instead. But that's the next big one that everybody is looking forward to.

The most recent event coming up is the Aftershock Norcal vs Socal rivalry event. Not a major tournament but it should be a good event especially the 8 on 8. I am hyped for it, should be a good lead into Seasons Beatings.

I believe that's for NEC, unless theres a different group of P4 players coming.

EDIT: Capcom-unity is showing off Marvel Origins right now if anyone cares

As most of GAF and other players who knew their Marvel predicted a rise in Modok... the same people have good things to say about Deadpool.

Deadpool is extremely underrated and underused. This character shuts down even some of the tops. I hope Chris makes DP work as he would be an excellent character against Fchamps main team.

Wut Chris G rockin Deadpool now?
Chris G has toyed with Deadpool since early Vanilla.

Can somebody list all the Majors since EVO 2012? Need to know for the UMvC3 OT but I didn't get a response there and figured I'd get a better one here.

EDIT: Madcatz announces TTT2 Fightstick S with easily replaceable stick art.

EDIT2: DAT RAGEQUIT LOL

EDIT3: This Kurumster guy is amazing. Multiple teams and still damn effective with each. I'm impressed. NVM Fraudkuma exposed.

Ray Ray just said House of Crack is streaming tomorrow with Eddie Lee

Alrighty, I'm heading out to STA in a little bit. If Kadey really is sponsoring me, then let Haunts know, I guess. Even so, I have enough to enter UMvC3 and probably AE too.

Wolfkrone bought $4 Dudley
$1 El Fuerte lol
Somebody who was ballin' out of control bought $15 Abel.
