Forza Horizon - Fall 2012 - Developed by PlayGround Games

if this game was a woman, i would do untold borderline illegal sex acts on/over her

my pants, and my controller are ready... not long now

Night driving seemed darker in that Behind the scenes video then the previous ones we've seen. Definitely an improvement.

Before you could drive with your headlights off and manage just fine.

The really dark scenes in the trailer appeared to be inside a tunnel, I doubt the night driving will be much better than was shown before.

Looking good. Just wasn't feeling Horizon up until now, but that vid put alot of doubts to rest. It'll be good to get back into a Forza game again.

lol i love how excited they are about night racing when it was in forza 1

Notice it was 30fps in Forza 1 for night racing as well...

We have to wait next gen for proper night racing at 60fps with all the bell & whistles.

And no slowdown.

That behind the scenes video. soooogood.gif
Day 1 for sure, can't wait for it. Still only getting the regular edition though.

I want this game yesterday.

This truly is what I've always wanted out of a Forza game. Just give me a ton of nice cars, a good physics model, let me tweak em, and then let me drive or race on long stretches of varied and beautiful roads and conditions.

I've gotten truly bored of the look, feel and experience of circuits.

It's been my dream since playing test drive unlimited at the start of the gen.

Me and my car-loving friend are going to waste tons of time in this. Hoping for lot's of muscle cars, or at least for me personally a Nova 69.

Sorry not been following, but after looking at some vids has this more arcade like driving then regular Forza?

Not that i mind (PGR4 is my favorite racer this gen) this almost looks like it drives like PGR

Well Forza 1 was 30fps... So we're going backwards.

You should probably mention it again. You know, just to be sure no one missed it..

Anwyay, can't wait to play this game. I didn't quite see it coming. To be honest I didn't even bother to check out the previews because I expected something of the same, just less.. But day/night cycles, traffic, open world.. Just seems like a nice change for the "series".

This isn't a change for the series per se. It's a addition to the Forza franchise. The Forza Motorsport series that we have been getting is still being done most likely as a launch for nextXBOX, aka Forza Motorsport 5.

Horizon is a alternative to the Motorsport series and damn its on another level.

Haven't been following this game at all, but that preview stung my interest.

Two questions, first, are the physics as good as in Forza 4? Or did they NFS that shit up and ruined a good game?

2, any idea of a car list so far?

Physics and assists are *supposed* to be the same as Forza 4, but they've hinted that the physics have been adjusted a bit, but no idea whether thats in the core model or in the assists. At the very least it should be far more sim than any other open world racer out there.

No idea on car list or count.

damn... it's going to be tough deciding between NFS and this... i'll be watching reviews like crazy.
Am picking up both, but have the most hype for Horizon, since there is plenty of choice out there for open world racers with arcade physics. That and I'm not sure whether to pick up Most Wanted on PC or the 360 yet.

I'm not tired of circuit racing. I did get bored with the lack of tracks in 4. I hope horizon is good but I'm still on the fence.
