The second is far less likely than the first.
What makes you think that? You think Nintendo paid enough money to offset the loss of the other two versions?

Sega. And it doesn't mean either. Most likely they're paying them a license fee.Who owns the Bayonetta IP? Sega or Platinum?
If Sega, does this mean it is co-published or perhaps Nintendo bought the IP?!
I wonder if Platinum will be exclusive to Nintendo from now on?
Bayonetta 2 won't be out until after March 2013.
First stage of grief is denial.I'd say kamiya is working on a new Ip for the next gen. The true sequel to Bayonetta if you will.
This genuinely blindsided me.
I was directly told this game was shot in the head.
Second stage of grief is anger. It was multi-platform before, I don't see why they decided to fuck a lot of the fans (I want to say most).
Guess its the money, but whatever, eff this.
Bayonetta 2 #1 trending Worldwide on Twitter right now, the fuck?

So, so excited. Bayonetta was the nearest thing to Ninja Gaiden in terms of environments and atmosphere. The combat was every bit as fun too.
Has nobody noticed me shitting up Bayonetta threads begging for sequel, and doing so over the last couple of E3s?
Is this my most successful troll?
Third stage of grief is bargaining.Wii U exclusive, but for how long?
Resident Evil 4 was also published by Nintendo, just saying...
This genuinely blindsided me.

Very bold move by Nintendo here.
To ignore the 130 million 360/PS3 owners out there, they must have made Platinum a very sweetheart deal.
Not directed by Kamiya drops my hype level considerably, I remember Viewtiful Joe 2.
WII U SAVED.
Same. Haven't yelled like that at a video game announcement in... shoot, since Mario Sunshine.Honestly when the trailer first started, I thought it was gonna be an enhanced edition.....I lost my shit the second I saw that 2.

Are you serious here? Don't play with me, I loved Ninja Gaiden Black and liked NG2, is Bayonetta really that good in terms of combat / speed / difficulty?
I may have to try it out on the 360 now.
Well I doubt it was Platinum that needed seducing, it'd be Sega, and they have no reason not to really, unless all three first parties courted it. Sony probably wouldn't because of GoW, but MS might have.Very bold move by Nintendo here.
