I really hope this mentality doesn't get around.

Not everyone will get a WiiU just for this game at this point, and a lot of people got the 3DS for this game. With this, everyone wins... the people who wanted it on the WiiU and those that wanted the 3DS version. It was an awesome move by Capcom.

Why in the world would capcom do that? Monster Hunter thrives on a unified userbase and local play. Why would they release the game for a dead system like the Vita, and risk splitting the userbase unnecessarily? Vita is a terrible value proposition for publishers, almost any game they could make on Vita, with very few exceptions would sell far better, and be cheaper to develop on the 3DS. Likewise any game developed from the ground up for Vita would likely be nearly as expensive as developing a console game, thus more profitable to just go ahead and put it on the console, with a much higher userbase.

Can't believe how much Sony dropped the ball on the Vita, i'm not sure it is savable at this point.

What? MH is exactly one of those games as has been proven with previous titles and for obvious reasons that I won't go into.

No online on the 3DS sucks, this will probably be the very first US MH game I skip at launch, just not ready for a new console or to pay 400+ bucks to get it going. Later down the line.

Great to see it got picked up, though. I was worried they'd just leave it to rot and announce 4 or something. Tri was a bit underwhelming, so the 3 series needs this refinement in the West. Gimmie back my damn ranged combat and actual content spread.

Man, using the controller's headphone jack and built in mic is going to be amazing compared to the nightmare that was trying to get Wii Speak to work with any decent quality.

I'm hoping that's how it works anyway.

I think this has confirmed that Nintendo has the NEW MonHun games on lock.

If you want HD MonHun, buy a Wii U since I can foresee 3 Ultimate and 4 being released exclusively for Nintendo hardware.

It's basically the same game with a whole bunch of added content. More weapon types, more armor, more new and old returning monsters, new locales, new missions, etc.

What would the Monster Hunter 3 experience be without the emotional rollercoaster of network instability. It's a feature like any other. Some people just know how to use it more often
