Bayonetta and Vanquish were the first two games I owned for my PS3.

Well, that and Uncharted 2. But it came with the system.

I traded a mint Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence Limited Edition for a new copy of Bayo (and Bio2) just because of Kamiya, so while I didn't buy it I certainly made sure it was for a brand new copy.

All the people on this thread saying that they won't buy a WiiU for Bayonetta 2, trust me, you'll buy a WiiU. You know it, I know it, he knows it:

Now I understand why Kamiya always responds to questions about dreamcast with "dream? what cast? what"

If this is all true: "Thank you Nintendo for saving the Game of Forever²" :>

Frankly I am still more excited about Revengeance. I didn't realise Platinum was such a big studio considering they are able to work on 3 games simultaneously. Here's hoping they continue getting bigger and one day are able to self publish.

You guys fall for troll posts so easily. Explains why this thread has more views than copies the first Bayonetta sold in North America.
My wife bought me the game at full price for my birthday. I've paid my dues!

I'm literally buying a Wii U solely for this game. There was stuff I was vaguely interested in checking out but I'm getting it for Bayonetta 2.
I bought my Wii just for Smash Bros, but I own more games on it because it has good stuff. Same thing for the PS3, which I bought for MvC3.

why do people keep saying "350 for one game"

jfc you're going to buy more games than just bayonetta

Yes, if you like Platinum Games, there's at least another exclusive game from them there already.

I do hope that Nintendo puts some heavy marketing on this game though. To be honest, I'm not interested in Wii U, and I disliked Bayonetta, but it makes me happy to see that niche action games can still thrive to an extent.
I'm just worried that without heavy marketing, and on a console with no known userbase, it might flop harder than the first one. Making the chances of another sequel even smaller. And none of us wants this.

Just hoping it succeeds, for all you stylish action games fans. We need more games like this.

Bring back Vanquish, nintendo, I want the release schedule to look like this for the next couple years from PG:

2013 - Metal Gear Rising, Bayonetta 2, The Wonderful 101
2014 - Vanquish 2, new IP
2015 - Bayonetta 3, Metal Gear Rising 2, new IP

My life will have meaning again.

Have people never bought a system for one game?

I purchased PS1 for Tekken 3, DC for Sonic Adventure, PS2 for MGS2, GC for Luigi's Mansion, XB for NG and PS3 for MGS4. I still believe in the killer app.

Their games need to actually start selling before they can think about self-publishing.

After Bayonetta was released, I was coming back on the bullet train with Yusuke Hashimoto, pondering various ideas for sequels or spin-offs to Bayonetta over a beer. I never thought we’d actually get to announce a sequel to her story, so I am absolutely over the moon.
Good for him man, good for him. Sucks that the audience of his craft is one of the most disgusting, self-centered group of consumers there is, but if it's what he loves then I'm completely happy for him. :)

All my platforms are bought for one game, then everything else is a bonus.

PS3 - Final Fantasy XIII
360 - Gears of War
PSP - Crisis Core
3DS - FF III
Wii - Twilight Princess.

Everytime I didn't care or worry about the future, I wanted the platform for these games and I didn't care what I had to pay to play them.

Never played Bayonetta but I'll give the sequel a shot on the Wii U as long as its out by next summer

if they get it out early then they have a chance of selling to early adopters looking for games.

What garnered the most betrayalton reaction; Rayman Legends or this?

Edit-i can't type on my phone :/

My man! Gamers need to be fearless.

It's this gens great injustice.

Given they are pretty much Clover it extends to last gen as well.

Granted I didn't support Clover and I wouldn't today. Honestly haven't supported Plat outside of Mad World and Bayo. Will most certainly grab Wonderful 101.

Easily this.

Most people even now fully believe that Rayman will end up multi. With this you have the big fat thing of Nintendo is publishing it in your face on top of the fact that Nintendo pretty much saved this from the grave.

Add on top of the fact how crazy some of the Bayo fans/haters are and it was a recepie for this kinda thing to get totally crazy.

I bought a PS3 for Metal Gear Solid 4. I ended up hating it, but the PS3 has a nice library, so it was a worthwhile purchase.

I bought an Xbox for Halo.

I bought a Sega Saturn for Panzer Dragoon.

Of course you of all people know it, going off that one thread you have some sort of reality changing power or some shi-

I think Vanquish has more chance of becoming a 3DS game. A game ala Bangai-O would be sweet.
NO STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT

He made a JP tweet about people who keep saying "kamiya never makes sequels."

Here's my rough translation.

"'Kamiya said he doesn't want to/like to make sequels' Lots of people are saying this, but as I keep saying (x10), my biggest wish is to make games that make people happy. I have no rule that I'll never make sequels so stop spreading lies/rumors."

Laying down the law.

Any other interesting tidbits from his more recent tweets that you can decipher or just Kamiya being Kamiya?

I doubt you could make a game like Vanquish on the 3DS without abandoning the core design in favour of something different and better suited to the hardware.

If there is anyone I trust StarFox with it's Platinum! No more of this furry walking around stuff on top of other shit I don't care about and more arcadey shooting things in the Arwing!

Kamiya himself expressed desires to make a Star Fox game. If this partnership works out, it could very well be possible.

Thinking about it, a Vanquish game similar to Kid Icarus Uprising would be fucking incredible. Maybe that's why Sakurai was also visiting Platinum :O
