Actually that would be incredibly awesome. He gained the equivalent of years of real-world experience presumably overnight. He learned to assert himself, defend himself and how to deal with different types of people. He could probably change his lot in life pretty quickly. And he could write a best-selling book series and become a millionaire.

To be honest, JK missed a huge opportunity to do that for a chapter near the end of the last book and have it turn out to be a demented illusion spell.

I think Sporky is saying it would have been cool if Harry had a "waking up from a dream, the whole series was in my head, oh shit I'm back in my old horrible life" moment that then turned out to be caused by a spell. Maybe I'm remembering the Dark Tower wrong, I remember the ending was stupid but can't remember the specifics beyond
the whole "history repeating itself" thing
and the ridiculous part where King warns the reader not to read the ending because it will be disappointing.

It became a second joke after people were coincidentally re-posting it, now re-posting it in itself has become another joke. It reminds me when people kept quoting that extremely long comic and then posting "lol" after it, very annoying but hilarious to read people's reactions.
